The Orchard Cabin at Jug Handle Creek Farm is a great place for a quiet retreat with easy beach access. The cabin has a queen bed on the first floor and a queen bed in the loft. A wood burning stove keeps everything nice and toasty. A large deck overlooks our orchard. You have a picnic table, a fire ring with grill and a a portapottie. It is a 100' walk to the parking area. Our 32 acre property is available for strolls and your cabin is a short walk to the ocean and miles of trails in Jug Handle Preserve.
Our Mission: We offer a welcoming and supportive environment for people of all backgrounds to explore nature and connect with the natural word. Nature stewardship is central to our non-profit mission and as an organization we are engaged in many nature restoration projects through out Mendocino County. We also provide a supportive learning environment for nature education for disadvantaged youth during the school year. If you teach k-12 and would like to bring your classroom to Jughandle contact us about special rates and our immersive nature education programs.

What a great experience! The Orchard cabin was small and cute, exactly what we needed. The cabin was well kept and clean. Clear instructions were provided. Check in was easy and required no face-to-face contact. The location is close to an absolutely beautiful beach. Would highly recommend to friends and family.
We had a lovely stay and will definitely return! The cabin was cozy and the deck was spacious and private.

A cabin so nice, I stayed here twice! The proximity to hiking, the beach, and nature, in general, was a real treat. The Orchard Cabin is set further away than the other cabins on the property, which makes for a quiet and peaceful stay. I loved firing up the wood stove in the evening and drinking hot coffee on the deck in the morning. While this cabin doesn't have it's own portapotty or fire ring, they're only a short walk away and I did not have any issues sharing the communal facilities with the other guests. I highly recommend this cabin if you're attracted to cozy simplicity and find that, when in nature, less is more :)
The orchard cabin was simply wonderful! Compared to the other two cabins it was much more private, and overlooking the orchard was great. The cabin has a deck with a table and its own picnic bench, but it is worth mentioning that all 3 cabins share 1 fire pit near the outdoor kitchen. We had the fire pit to ourselves both nights anyway though. Overall would highly recommend to anyone looking for a rustic and comfortable getaway at a great price!
