This was such an amazing experience. I legitimately could not recommend Jason and Jen’s land enough. Jason was incredibly responsive and attentive from the start. He and his wonderful family welcomed us to their little slice of heaven with open arms. Member of our group were given a tour of the grounds, the animals, and the lands unique history. They couldn’t have been nicer people. We enjoyed literally every second of our stay. The sunset and the stars were worth the trip alone. There’s plenty to do near bass lake or Yosemite just a hop skip and a jump away. Hiking, rock climbing, exploring...you name it. It was all so perfect. I can’t wait to go back in the spring. Thank you for the amazing experience!
Staying with Jason was by far the most warm and welcoming experience I've had with hipcamp to date. Jason was really cool, offered his home to me, and went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. I had a really good time and would 100% rent from him again!
We needed a piece of land to pitch our tent before we head up to Yosemite the next day. We got there in the dark and left the next morning in the dark. So, we didn’t get to enjoy the property. It may have been a lot nicer during the day.
Jason and his family were super accommodating and kind. I would return here myself so I would certainly recommend to anyone else!
The views on the property are incredible, especially at sunset! We really enjoyed getting away for a quiet overnight retreat. Jason and his daughter are very welcoming and friendly. Overall the property has so much potential, we look forward to seeing what Jason is able to do to transform the property to its fullest potential!
Beautiful meadow camp w/ potential
I'm not sure what site name or number was that we stayed at, but it was under the large set of trees across the meadow from the house. The morning light was incredible and we sat on the hill drinking coffee as dozens of wild turkey and quail went about their morning routines. The rolling hills and the wild flowers are lovely and overall we had a nice stay. A few things to note though is that the property is pretty close to the highway, so it's not the kind of solitude we've experienced on other ranches as there was some noise from large trucks passing in the night. The ranch is also a work in progress, so the pond was being drained while we were there and Jason is working on a lot of improvements. There's a lot of potential and it's a great stop too or from Yosemite if you're coming from the south. Would stay again and look forward to seeing Jason's vision realized in the future.

Jason and Jen are super warm and inviting. The animals on the property are charming. The campsite aren’t well developed yet but their property has so much potential. A very beautiful place.
Amazing stay! Jason and Jen have such a gorgeous property and are amazing hosts. My group was completely enthralled with all of the animals on the property. We felt so welcomed and enjoyed our stay the entire time.
We definitely plan to come back.
Jason’s really exceeded our expectations. It might be the best camping experience I’ve ever had. The land was super beautiful and Jason gave us a tour of the property, goats, and other animals. Our campsite felt very private but they carved a path to make a short route to the main house which was very helpful. The bathroom in the house was very clean and a godsend after a 16 mile hike in Yosemite. Theres also lots of kitchenware which was a great perk. The best part was Jason and his family being so welcome and accommodating. Really genuine people that want to make sure you have a great time. They make a concerted effort to get to know their guests and go the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable. Wasn't planning on returning anytime soon from Texas but if I ever come back to Yosemite this is where I’m staying!
