This uniquely constructed Gingerbread House at the Isis Oasis Retreat Center is very cozy inside with a queen-sized bed. It is decorated with stained glass windows with LED lights inside the glass and sculpted by Miguel Elliott of Living Earth Structures. Earthen trees are wrapping around the hut making it feel as though it were being embraced by the trees. It is next to the Hobbit hut, and has a picnic table and nearby fire pit, which can be used depending on weather conditions. Close access to the pool, sauna and hot tub. Tours of the exotic animals on the property available.
Just a 3 minute walk to a great café called Geyserville Coffee Company, a renowned pizza house, Diavola, two mini-marts and just a 15 minute walk through vineyards to the Russian river. Lake Sonoma is about 6 miles away, with fishing, boating, swimming and many other activities. We are in the heart of the Alexander Valley with dozens of nearby wineries and vineyard covered hills.

The vibe at Gingerbread House

It's a cool place in Geyserville. We arrived just as it was getting dark and couldn't quite get a feel for it. We rented the Gingerbread house plus we had our eurovan. Check in was easy. In the morning, we wandered through the grounds and it was pretty amazing. All of the birds, the different lodging and the Lodge itself. All really really great. Everyone we came across were nice and fun.
Its a lovely experience. Completely unexpected. I surprised my wife with a vacation in the Gingerbread house. Its just beautiful and very unique. To add to that, the property grounds itself is a lot of fun. They have a nice swimming pool, a hot jacuzzi and a earthen sauna! They have a lot of exotic birds, talking parrots, wild cats, snakes, Iguanas (in the cage) on their property. Its a complete relaxing way to be one with nature. They also have a tour everyday of their wildlife sanctuary and I want to give a shoutout to their very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide Eve. She convinced me that not all snakes are venomous and made me feel comfortable with the wildlife there. For the first time i held a snake in my hand, with her assistance ofcourse! The hosts are great too, trying their best to make your stay pleasant. Also want to give a shotout to Dan(Daniel) for fixing the led strip lights outside the Gingerbread home late in the evening. That really made the place a bit more magical! Wee will definitely be going back, perhaps the next time we will stay in the Hobbit house with the living garden on the roof. Great location off of the highway (not noisy). Now that said, there's one thing that definitely needs improvement - upkeep! There were some spiderwebs in our little house and in general i found that the place could be a lot more wonderful if its maintained well. Sauna would work on its own whim, some showerheads need to fixed etc. Minor stuff. But, overall a lovely and unique experience. Dont think, just go!
