The vibe at Trailer In The Woods
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
We had a great time at the Trailer in The Woods! It was the perfect escape for the San Francisco fog in the middle of the summer and great place to watch the meteor showers. The trailer's outdoor space is really the highlight - a great private deck, place to hangout and BBQ. We spent most of our time out there.
The creek and pond were dry in the middle of the draught / summer but the property was great - cows, dogs and lots of space to explore.
This was a great change of pace! Extremely peaceful and the deck was by far the best part- we spent lots of time sitting, talking, playing cards, and grilling. And if you love dogs, there are lots of pups roaming around the area. We loved it!
Trailer in the Woods is a great place to stay. The deck is the main character on this listing. There is access to a grill, chairs and shade area during the day. Incredible views of the creek when running, and if it get's cold at night you always have the opportunity to sleep inside.
Wendel fixed the shower and now is running, you can take a shower in the trailer. Also, there is a coffee pot and a hot plate to cook if you don't wanna use the grill.
Highly recommended and we will definitely come back!
Wendell is great! His dogs are so sweet too and they will hang out with you for a bit if you open the gate to your patio. Andy is the sweetest border collie you'll ever meet. The land is beautiful and the patio with wooden deck he created so nice for just drinking cold beer and BBQing. So convenient to have a working toilet and running water and a very comfy bed. Close to town if you want to drive in and check out old gold country. We went for white water rapids nearby. They gave us a welcome packet with maps and that's how we got to gold country. Have fun!
I stayed at Trailer in the Woods with a friend and we had a really nice weekend! The trailer is well-equipped with the essentials. There is a double bed inside along with a futon bed outside on the deck (great place to sleep on a warm night!). There's a mini fridge on the deck along with a toaster over, hot plate, bbq, potable water, bathroom (found a few frog friends roaming around in here) and a wonderful covered fire pit that kept us warm and toasty in the evening and morning! Plenty of kitchenware and utensils are provided, so all you need to bring is food to cook (and any special cooking utensils you can't live without). We didn't spend much time exploring the ranch or the area around it because we went to Echo Lake (~1.5 hour drive) and hiked to Lake Aloha (highly recommend!). All in all, Trailer in the Woods is a lovely place to stay and provides a few more amenities than traditional camping.
Had a a great time camping at the Trailer in the Woods this weekend. We spent most of our time on the deck grilling, sitting by the fire, listening to music and just relaxing. Very tranquil spot! Wendell and Maxine were great hosts. We loved Andy the camp dog and Wendell and Maxine's dog Arthur!!
The Georgetown Founder's Day parade just happened to be on Saturday, so we checked it out since it was so close. Cute little town and loved the parade!!
Had a great time and will be back again next year!!
