This site is truly the dreamiest. We pitched at night when it was too dark to see and woke up the next morning to a beautiful, foggy aspen grove and the sound of a little creek. So much peace just outside of Yosemite and so close to Mono Lake! Mild winters make for amazing off-season camping.

Stayed here on a solo photo adventure I was doing of the eastern sierras, Mono Lake and Bodie. Very convenient location to Mono Lake and Bodie. Many sites are right on the creek which is beautiful. I asked the camp host if he had firewood for sale which he did not but gave me a bundle of his personal firewood at no charge.

Not the most scenic camp spot but super convenient if you are looking to get in late night and out early morning to grab a permit for Inyo backcountry from the Lee Vining visitor center.

Bring a hammock! The campsite is right on the creek, which is narrow enough to possibly even string hammocks up completely across. Nothing more relaxing than that.
