The vibe at HyView Delta's Tent Camp
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
This property is a beautiful location and we loved our stay here! You feel so secluded out on the property while being just about 20 minutes from downtown Lodi, tons of wine tasting, and town resources. It's the perfect combo of serene nature, and easy car camping with amenities. The tent sides are lush, grassy, and flat bordered by a few trees. It truly is luxury car camping at its best, with easy access, water available, and even a flush toilet!
Frank was amazing host, and he's built a beautiful property here for you to escape to. He provided us with a map to local wineries, and we had a great time driving around wine tasting. There was even dry firewood provided for a fun campfire in the fire pit.
Frank the host was great. He was very accommodating and helpful. The camp sites are close together and you will get to know your neighbors. You are also camped along side a train track. The train wasn’t too bothersome for us but trains do come through at all times of day. I left a happy camper after having only booked the Wednesday before Memorial Day! Thanks for the hospitality, Frank.
My boyfriend and I had a great time! We were looking for a last minute place to stay for Memorial Day weekend and the fact this was a direct book option was perfect. Frank greeted us upon arrival, made us feel right at home and told us about local attractions. The site itself was very open and we were within 40 feet of 5 other groups but it worked out great.
Camped here with our young son, as well as with our friends with two young boys. The tent camping area was well maintained and grassy, it was very easy to pitch our tents, even with an evening arrival.
The toilet and sink area was clean and well stocked, which was appreciated. Spigots near the campsite were plentiful.
The boys loved visiting with the chicken coops and discovering small lizards sunning themselves near camp. We explored the vineyards which were adjacent to the campgrounds. Frank, the camp host, rents picnic tables, fire pits, and sells firewood on site. Swimming in the river was an option but we opted out of it as our boys are a bit too young for that. There was no shortage of activities to do.
The only surprise about the site was that it is located very close to train tracks, and during our first night when the train came by, it was a bit of a jolt, waking us up from sleeping. The boys slept right through it, though, so it depends on your sensitivity.
Overall, would recommend.
