Tina's place was great. We stayed in a fenced in area with a pre built tent and stove, so not exactly roughing it. But that's what we wanted for our group of 4 an it worked well.
The site was really well set up - the tent is large and the outdoor kitchen is well-stocked (camping stove, pots/pans, dishes, mugs, and a water spigot) which makes camping here a breeze! The property is beautiful and the nearby swimming holes were a great reprieve from the heat. The only odd thing is that the camping area is fully enclosed with wooden fencing, which can make you feel a little bit like a hamster in a cage. But a quick walk around the property to greet the horses and see the views will do away with that feeling quickly. And the fencing does make the area feel more private when there are other campers around.
Tina is a warm and welcoming host. She made sure we had everything we needed and checked in with us which was a kind touch. A budding eco farm that’s 3 years in the making, a lot of love has gone into this property and it shows. One suggestion is to make the options for campsites a little more clear online. Wasn’t too sure on what we were getting but were pleasantly surprised to have what we reserved for sure. Maybe add pictures of the options vs an overhead view. Otherwise, a great place to spend a few days. Close to swimming holes (best option) and lake Mendocino. The nearest swimming holes are easy to reach and provide lots of privacy which is a plus. Our dog has slept for the past 5 hours after coming home. A sign of an excellent weekend.

This spot didn’t live uo to the ad unfortunately. We took off after one night. It was nothing like we thought and you camp right next to the hosts house. It’s like a parking lot on the lawn.
There is no horses as it said in the as and to sein you have to walk/hike a bit first.
There was also this very messy/dirty camper right on the lot.
Very disappointing. 😏
We loved our stay at Tina's eco farm! Very close access to lakes and river. Thank you for the paddleboard rentals and tour of your farm + being dog friendly. The kitchen and bathroom/shower made camping easy for my mom :)
We had a really nice stay with Tina at horseshoe. Her place is in a beautiful location up on the hill above the Russian river. She was a great host and we felt very comfortable spending the weekend there. If you are looking for a secluded campsite, this probably isn’t the location for you as it’s definitely near the house. It was a great spot for us last minute over the 3 day weekend and an awesome spot to stage day trips in the area from.

Our group had a great stay at Horeshoe. Tina is incredibly welcoming, and her property is in a beautiful location on top of a hill looking over the Russian River.
If you're looking for a secluded campsite, this probably isn't the property for you. It's within a stone's throw of the main house.
It was great to have a central location to use when adventuring in that neck of the woods.
