We loved our stay on David's beautiful ranch. Incredible night sky with stars, quiet and peaceful. The river next to the camping site is such a bonus on a hot day! David is prompt with communication and super friendly. I would highly recommend staying here in a heartbeat!!!! book it, you won't regret it!

This place has a lot of good potential because it’s right by the river! Really nice hosts but the actual site could use some improvements. At the moment, It’s a dirt road next to a river. Some suggestions to help women traveling alone — we would have appreciated the hosts telling us that the gates weren’t going to be locked on us so we could rest easy. Also, maybe a little more welcoming when coming in and amenities to justify the $50. Amenities could include water and a leveled out camp site (at least). But all in all a good squat for a night.

David was extremely responsive and helpful. All details of the stay were thoroughly presented. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we were unable to actually stay for our intended night, but all contacts and support prior to our scheduled reservation with professionally and courteously handled.

David was very welcoming to our entire group. He was generous with his time and the use of the space. The kids enjoyed watching the process of a working ranch! We had a great time!

We stayed at David's ranch for one night, the river and surroundings were beautiful and we were able to befriend some of his cows. A great place to stay.

David's ranch covers about 3 miles along the Upper Klamath and the spot where he placed us was in one of his pasture areas about ten feet from the river. Nobody was within a quarter mile in any direction. It was "just" a spot in the pasture and the view back up towards the road is nothing special, but this place is all about the river and the river access. If you are a fisherman and are set up to dry camp this is a really great spot. David was responsive to questions before I showed up, was very friendly and accommodating when I got there and quick to invite me back for another visit during the steelhead and salmon runs.

I drove up to this spot after sundown, so it was really dark...but David instructed me to meet up with him so he could show me where the spot was, which I greatly appreciated. He's very kind and told me a bit about the land and his plans for it, and I'm looking forward to coming back again!

My spot was along the river, so I fell asleep to it's sounds (I heard a fish flop!) and then the occasional moo from his cows far away. I could still hear the sounds of cars on the road but it didn't bother me. I woke up to some cows (they were curious but kept a respectful distance), which was very sweet. Would highly recommend this spot!

We had a great time and loved the experience. We asked David for something private with good fishing and he put us right on the river in a field without anyone else. It was exactly what we wanted. Make sure to talk with David in advance so you have a good understanding of your site. This location isn’t for everyone (e.g. those that want a lot of amenities) but is a gem for those that want something in a beautiful location who pack and plan for something off grid.

Gorgeous location on the river, conveniently located a few miles off I5. Had the whole grounds to myself.
