Lucky Penny #2

Lucky Penny Laytonville is a thriving multi-generational family home and   campground dedicated to music, art, gardening, and family fun.  Fruit trees and extensive gardens dot the property. We are powered by the sun and quenched by the fresh water from the well. Feel free to pick apples, pears, and blackberries!

Please note: RVs OR TRAILERS are only allowed at site #1, not here at site #2!

There's plenty of cool shade, a sunny meadow, and meandering paths through the forest. On the lawn there's badminton and croquet. Find yourself a cozy spot on a sofa under the trees or in a hammock with a good book from our library. There's always a jigsaw puzzle out on the picnic table by the pizza oven. Each campsite has a picnic table & benches, access to electricity, its own composting toilet with TP, access to an outdoor kitchen for potable water and doing your dishes, access to outdoor solar shower & tub (availability of water and solar is seasonal; not available during colder weather), use of dishes, utensils, and cookware, and wifi. Electric Vehicle charging station now available! 

For larger vehicles, we have an 80' turn around area at the end of our private road.

There are lovely swimming holes within a 15 minute drive. Town is just 1 mile away with a grocery store, drive thru coffee, restaurants serving to-go meals, and a great Farmer's market, etc.

Please NO FIRES during Fire Season. Check with hosts about whether it is currently allowed.

Please arrive between 1pm -8pm. Text us your estimated arrival time and then when you're 15 minutes out, let us know you're getting close. 

We require all guests to sign a User Agreement upon arrival. We can send the agreement to you upon booking so you can look it over before you get here.

Mendocino County guidelines regarding Covid-19. 

-One stable bubble per campsite. Per Mendocino County Health Ordinance, stable family bubbles must be from the same household, living unit, or Household Support Unit and are limited to 8 total guests including children per campsite. 

-Guest temperatures and an intake questionnaire will be taken upon arrival. If guests exhibit elevated temperatures or other COVID-19 symptoms at check-in or during their stay, they and the rest of their group will be asked to leave and quarantine for 14-days offsite.

-Guests must remain at least 6’ from Lucky Penny residents and other guests not in their bubble when in common areas. Guests not complying with physical distancing rules will be asked to leave without a refund.

-Guests are required to wear face masks when in areas where six-foot distancing may not be possible per County Facial Coverings Order dated July 1, 2020.

-Please utilize hand washing stations or hand sanitizer when using the toilets and water spigots.
