The sight was far beyond our expectations. It's located on a hillside surrounded by lush forest not too far from the ocean. The nook itself is a comfortable, clean, well
-kept RV with a fire stack. It's seperate from the main property and has its own walkable path to the main road. I do recommend parking up top unless you have a legit 4wd vehicle 😉 The hosts were fantastic. They are genuine, kind and ready to assist in any way possible. They had great recommendations to local areas and camp spots and really made you feel at home. I encourage anyone trying to avoid crowds and major cities to check this location out as you won't be disappointed!

Our hosts went out of their way to make our experience fun and seamless. The consistency of the communication, the specificity of the directions they gave, and their willingness to accommodate our needs show that in spades. The trailer was clean and they even had the fire going for us when we arrived! I highly suggest purchasing the firewood they have for sale. They provide you with ample wood for the price. The eggs they sell really rounded things out for us, as we did not bring much for breakfast. They have a working stove inside the trailer and ample space and seating around the fire outside for roasting marshmallows. We drove in with a Rav-4 with all-wheel-drive, so the hill was not a problem for us. They recommend having AWD/4WD to ascend the hill upon leaving, but if you're not equipped with that, they have other parking spaces for you. They're great people. The views were wonderful and the stars were bright for us. This is a great place to spend the weekend, and we definitely plan on coming back.

My friend and I absolutely enjoyed our stay here. It was everything we were hoping for. Was easy to get to and was a good getaway into the woods from the city. Riz has such a cute and comfortable setup. We also had a delicious breakfast with the fresh eggs and herbs, as well as our s'mores over the fire at night. Thank you Riz!

It was an absolute dream staying here. If only we were able to stay a bit longer. Riz is as thoughtful and attentive as they come. She made sure we were taken care of. Don't skip out on the fresh eggs that are available for purchase. We made carbonara with the duck eggs ;) There's even a little herb garden near the RV that you are welcome to pick from and use for your meals.
The RV and site itself is really special. Thoughtful touches throughout and sparkling clean. Speaking as a real city girl, I geeked out over the outdoor commode / toilet. Super comfortable to use, extremely clean, and just a fascinating and eco forward system! Yayyyy.

Not to mention the plethora of trails and nature that surround Riz' property. You've got Big Basin and Forest of Nisene Marks just a short drive away. And an awesome hike with beautiful views right up from the property. Choose your own adventure. :)

Thank you Riz!!!

This is a gorgeous spot, up in the mountains while still relatively close top the Bay Area.

Riz was a warm and helpful host and she obviously put a lot of work into the location. She and her helper(?) came to meet us and escort us the final few steps and it was much appreciated. The trailer itself is stocked with thoughtful amenities and the bed was very comfy.

We stayed there on a very wet and chilly weekend, so we weren't able to enjoy the hiking opportunities as planned. Sadly, the steep drops and gravel paths were too much for my small senior dog, (I had to carry him a lot more than usual) but Riz did warn about that in the listing.

My boyfriend and I had a great time and would definitely recommend the location and host.

The Sun Nook was a very cozy spot! Riz generously left out firewood and some produce for us to eat. The spot is really cute, albeit very cold this time of year (bring layers and blankets!!)
Thank you for the stay!

Thank you so very much for staying with us. Much of the produce you ate were sourced from the property from our Winter garden, hope they tasted fresh and went with your duck eggs?

Riz was an awesome host. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed the camper and the surrounding area. We watched hummingbirds, made grilled cheese/omelettes, played cards and just relaxed. It was a great night stay and I'd definitely do it over again.

My stay at "The Nook" was perfect in every way. The travel trailer is located on a private part of Riz's beautiful property, which is surrounded by towering redwoods. No detail has been left unthought of by Riz, and she did everything she could to make sure we had a perfect stay. Not only do you have the trailer to sleep in, but there's also room to pitch a tent on the grounds as well. Even though this was an off-the-grid experience, we had the benefits of modern day luxuries as well with the use of the travel trailer.

The trailer was clean, well stocked with essentials, and even had some games for my friend and me to play once we decided to go inside. The area surrounding the campsite was amazing as well. Right outside her gate, there's an off-roading trail that my friend and I took our Jeep on and had a blast driving through the forest. The Forest of Nisene Marks is super close by as well, within a couple of miles drive. This park is one of my favorite places to hike in the Bay Area, so this was a treat having it so close by.

Riz was an excellent host. She was kind, hospitable, and made us feel super comfortable and welcomed.

If you're looking for a relaxing night camping in the redwoods, don't skip out on this place - it exceeded my expectations and will exceed yours too!
