We are an off-grid, solar-powered, 25 acre lakeside venue and permaculture-inspired lifestyle rich collaborative.

Heartland exists where the wilderness of off-grid life meets an artistic collective that sings possibility to the fringe dwellers of the Regenerative Eco-Village movement. Heartland offers people a break from the craziness of what so many call "life" and a view of what can be co-created with each other for each other. As in permaculture, the Heartland model is about doing more with less, it's about allowing our individual and diverse natural Flow states to merge forging new pathways of co-creation that are the true answer to our collective purpose.

Tent #5 is under a huge Oak tree and is set up in the middle of our entire property. You are a 2-3 minute walk from the lake entrance, restrooms, and outdoor kitchen and about a 5 minute walk to showers and 2nd set of restrooms.

*Fall Notice*

It's gorgeous here, but please know that our lake is a reservoir and it is low between Sep-November. Swimming is still possible but the walk to swimmable water is longer. During this time the bottom of the lake offers remarkable river hikes. With a 15 minute drive away there is also a really beautiful clear water swimming hole with a tire swing. Another very highly recommended day trip is the famous Yuba river, which is roughly an hour away.

We look forward to booking your stay at the Heartland Collective (:

We came for a couple of days of relaxation and had a lovely stay at Heartlander! The tent, communal kitchen, bathrooms, showers are all perfectly nice and as advertised—and there are some other really nice structures to explore and enjoy in the arts-driven eco-village. Friendly hosts and fellow guests — plenty of privacy and moments of seclusion but it's a social vibe. The lake is great swimming, beautiful sunsets.

Great place, beautiful property, tent was cute and clean. The reservoir water was warm and enjoyable (you just have to make it past the muddy beginning) It’s a long drive down the gravel roads but with some pretty cool scenery. Host was very welcoming. My only critique would be privacy, I personally don’t want to see fellow campers.
