The vibe at Shabby chic cottage in the wood
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
Shabby chic cottage was so cute and quaint and a lovely little place in the woods. We got there and the host Lisa had a wonderful little basket of snacks and coffee and tea for us. The cottage is set aside from a lot of the main town and feels like your out in the woods. There is a wonderful antique awesome tub in the bathroom and the hot water is phenomenal. Lisa is so friendly and it feels very safe being there! We would definitely stay there again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at shabby chic cottage. The cabin has all the basic amenities like fridge, oven, basic utensils to cook, hot shower. It easily accomodates 4 adults.
This place is perfectly located in the forest surrounded by thick green trees giving complete seclusion and peace from busy city life at the same time just 6 miles away from Eureka to buy groceries or for any other shopping. Eureka by itself if a great coastal town.
I want to specially mention and thank the hosts Joel , Lisa and their very well mannered cute daughter. They are very friendly people and have ensured that our stay was more than perfect. They were available whenever we wanted at the same ensured our privacy.
There is a fantastic trail(headwater forest trail) 1 mile away from the location and its stroller friendly.
As I mentioned above, City is 6 miles away with beaches as close as 8 miles .
I recommend this place to couples who want to get away from city life or families with kids.
Great spot! Very comfy home and wonderful host. Easy to find location, yet next door to a great 11-mile forested hike. Plenty of charm so you could hang out at home and enjoy the surrounds or drive to all the other beautiful nearby spots.
