Nice place but a couple of things

It is a very nice place. There's a decent amount of privacy. There are water hoses available to clean up. The communal area is large and its stocked with camping basics as noted in the description. Take note the road into the campground is a narrow dirt road with tight turns and its steep downhill. I have a full sized Tundra Double Cab and it was sketchy getting down the hill. I recommend using a smaller vehicle if you can. The campground overall is NOT well maintained and I think this was the most disappointing part. Everything at the campsite is completely overgrown and its littered with Poison Oak everywhere you walk. Site 3 is inside the TeePee which smells awful, its full of mold and littered with spider webs. The distance between the parking area and the campsites is considerable depending on which site you select. There are no trails to hike besides the creek which is so overgrown you have to trek the rocks through the water and some areas are pretty tight. We didn't get to enjoy the communal area very much. There was a very large group who arrived before us that didn't use any of the sites and pitched their tents inside the communal area so it was pretty much taken during our visit. They were a very nice group. We sat and played games with them at night but it would have been nice to able to make use of it. Overall I would give it 6 of out of 10. For the price there are nicer places that are maintained better and more easily accessible.

An awesome campground in a green valley. The waterfall is a long hike up the hill but still awesome. The stream and hot tub are so cool. There is no showers but you can rinse off in the hot tub. The whole place shady, green and cozy.

Cozy communal area. The fire heated hot tub. Gets a bit hot so you have to add cold water but so nice!Cozy camping spots. The hike to the water fall is 30 mins and steep but worth it.

This spot is really cool and unique. Be advised, after the climb up the pass to the property, the drive down to the canyon bottom is no joke; arrive before dark for sure. That said, the distance from town and the drive down the canyon are worth it! The sites are all very near a really beautiful creek for splashing/bathing (not exactly swimming) and the short trail hike up to the waterfall is dense and overgrown but beautiful. Don’t be surprised to see local neighbors wander through, especially during the day. For me, this was a plus and not at all weird since this property, and the special spot along the creek that Harmony has turned into a camping destination are obviously so valued by everyone that they love to wander by. The campsites are all fairly close to each other, and hot-tub and fire (gas) area are communal.

This was a really fun area to explore! Highly recommend the hot tub and doing hot/cold contrast in the creek which is right next to it. The hike to the waterfall is extremely overgrown with poison oak - I don't think it would be possible to avoid it, so you really have to go straight through the creek to get to the waterfall - so bring water shoes and be ready for a slippery hike!

Make sure you are prepared for the drive down to the spot, it can be challenging but very short and fun off-road. The camping spots are clean and overall the place is beautiful.
Hot tub is a great addition, although we very skeptical given it was uncovered, it was a good place to dip in your feet and relax. Hammocks are an amazing addition and we couldn't discover the hike to waterfall. The communal place needs a little touch-up but overall the experience was amazing.

Hello Animesh, thank you so much for the positive review! I wanted to let you know that I do fill the hot tub fresh every day about one hour before the campers arrive. So there is no need to cover it. And the waterfall is up the creek bed about 1 mile. For feature reference! I’m sorry that wasn’t. Very clear on that! Hope to have you again. thank you, Harmony.

Our stay at harmony was amazing! We had a blast having a private site. We reserved 3/4 campsites to accommodate for my husband’s birthday. We also met our host, he was kind and hospitable. I really appreciated the hot tub, all the hammocks everywhere, and the common area of course. It’s nice to have a kitchen and shelves to put stuff on. Having so much shade from the trees was definite plus. My favorite part of all was the hike to the waterfall. It was beautiful and so much fun to swim in that water!

Harmony's campsite off San Marcos Road is an incredible place to enjoy and relax in a lush, shaded forest bordering a year roound creek with swimming hole . The four campsites branch out from a huge communal area featuring huge kitchen area, a propane fireplace with a sofa, lots of tables, seating (cutoff logs), and a hammock . This would make a great destination for a large group. Also consider this your base camp for afternoon excursions to nearby Painted Cave, Knapp's Castle and Lunch/Dinner at Cold Springs Tavern- even the wineries of Santa Ynez Valley. A high clearance vehicle is recommended but 4WD not required. Enjoy!

To be completely honest as a solo female traveler I didn’t feel safe to stay here and left and found a different spot for the night. Look up the property on google maps and make your own decisions. The actual campsite was as pictured, very burning man/hippie artist collective vibe, the creek by the site was nice and the water pleasant. The drive into the property is what turned me off and gave me a bad vibe.
