Hacienda 6 Palms has great views of the Palomar mountains. It’s an elegant working olive farm ranch with a beginning newly planted vineyard with olive, citrus, fig, guava, and avocado trees with lots of privacy in which we are inviting guests to enjoy staying on a working small olive farm & vineyard. In the spring we will plant the remaining grape vines. The property has a spacious fenced and walled 3 acres with 2 gates.

SITE #1:

THE RV GARDEN - One entrance gate is specifically for RVs and has its own private driveway, a parking space for an RV and plenty of room for a car. It has it's own garden area under oak trees and views of the mountains. There is a teak table & 6 chairs with an umbrella, and a stainless steel BBQ grill in the RV garden under the oak trees which can be used so you can enjoy time outside of the RV and in the good weather.

The RV garden has plenty of water spigots nearby and an electrical panel for RVs with 20, 30, and 50 amps.

Right now there is no black water emptying capability so please make sure your tanks can hold everything during your stay. Please don't come and go with your RV as that involves pulling out into traffic. To help minimize the amount of water which goes into your tank, you can take showers in a really neat "Joshua Tree" style outdoor shower on the east side of the house overlooking the mountains. The outdoor shower has hot water.

The ranch is nearby a lot of attractions such as the San Diego Safari Park Zoo, Temecula and Ramona wineries, the beaches of Carlsbad, not far from La Jolla, and only 30 minutes north of San Diego.  A lot of hiking trails are nearby: You can bike or walk to Daley Ranch. Potato Chip Rock is 30 minutes south.

You can conveniently walk to the Market in Hidden Meadows which is a small marketplace Deli for gourmet sandwiches, breakfasts, coffee, and to pick up some wine.

There is good cell phone coverage on the mountain so you can use your cell phone and tether your devices from it.

Please note:

It is Southern California, so there is a host of natural wild life on the mountain top here. That includes a lot of cute rabbits and squirrels, an owl, and a plethora of wonderful spectacular birds who enjoy the 2 fountains on the property. Yet, it also includes coyotes, which I have never seen, but you can hear them, rattler snakes, which I have never seen, and scorpions, which I have also seen in limited quantities, and recently I have seen a bob cat.

The property is 3 acres and the terrain is quite rocky. Your booking a stay here indicates that you have read all of the above and will keep a careful eye on everything to make sure you are safe. The property is surrounded by fence on all sides except on the border with the ranch next door, so it is very secure.

SITE #1:

THE RV GARDEN - full RV hookup, 20, 30, and 50 amps electric, water, teak table, 6 chairs, and an umbrella, a stainless steel BBQ grill and access to the Joshua Tree style outdoor shower with hot water, and access to the two hammocks under the oak grove by the Mesa.

SITE #2:

THE YURT - has electric via an electrical cord, a fan for ambient noise, a heater for nighttime warmth, a charming old wood table and 6 chairs, a stainless steel BBQ grill, ambient string lights, a clothes line, and a secret garden for you to discover which has two hammocks. Please bring or borrow our Luggable Loo for your bathroom needs. VERY IMPORTANT - There are no pets nor shoes allowed in the yurt, and no eating inside the yurt to prevent ants.

SITE #3:

The Mesa - is a flat area near the main house among the fig and guava gardens by an oak grove with two hammocks which is available for very limited and occasional moments. I rarely rent it out and I do not rent it out when there are guests visiting in the apartment above the garage. It has water and only an electrical outlet. It is for backup only.

What a find! Incredibly beautiful grounds, privacy, easy access and Todd was a great host...attentive and accommodating, but not intrusive. We really enjoyed our stay at Hacienda 6 Palms and the kids had so much fun on the swing, hammock, hanging out in the yurt and just exploring the grounds looking for frogs, snails and butterflies. One word of advice - If you get the "upper" site (off the main driveway) it's a tight turnaround and back-in to get around the island in the driveway. We have a 24' dual axel trailer and it was tight. Would be easy for the same size RV or single axel trailer. We will be back soon.

Here's the Yurt from the outside. The yurt was so fun to play in it was vey hot!Morning views. Can you find Turbo the snail?

We had a great weekend tent camping at Hacienda 6 Palms. The location was very welcoming and beautiful. We needed a weekend get away with our dogs during covid. Being in quarantine in an apartment is no fun.
Our dogs soaked up the sun and we loved how clean the property was. No stickers or weeds in tent areas which made having dogs a lot easier. Even with our tent set up infront of the house we still felt like we had our privacy. It was the first time using hipcamp glad we did.
No access to toilet but we brought our own. No biggie. We had access to a water spigot which was nice.
We loved our host Todd he gave us a tour of his property and the future plans he has. We are excited to go back and see what other beautiful stays Todd creates.
PS: Loved the Shower 🚿 😍 💕 👌
This was a super last minute trip and I was happy with the timely response. Thanks Todd!!! You Rock!!!

We needed a quick place to stay for two nights while visiting family in San Diego, this site was awesome! Amazing views and very private yet close to everything. It was a bit tricky to find if you get in when it’s dark, and be prepared to back in off of the main road. Would definitely stay again next time we’re in the area (especially if we had more time to enjoy the space), the property is beautiful!

Host was extremely hospitable and helpful. The property is beautiful. Only two shortcomings: The back-in to the campsite is difficult. There is traffic noise from the adjacent road throughout the day and most of the night.

RV camp site very clean, private & secure, almost cancelled our local plans just to hangout at the site.. Our RV site had concrete slab as patio, (with table, chairs, grill & dim lighting everywhere). Owner very friendly, respectful, and responsive. Very impressive site, no dirt parking, no crowds, & more than reasonably priced. Highly recommend site.

Todd’s property is a dream come true. Whether you’re casual and want to be spoiled with glamping or you’re looking for an upscale experience, this is it. We stayed in the yurt and it was the perfect combo of bohemian rugged camping with a sweet romantic twist. The outdoor shower was the cherry on top. My partner and I plan to be back, often, as it is a unique and extremely special getaway.

Todd's place was amazing. The yurt was perfect and Todd was and amazing host and awesome human being to be around! We found the location to be wonderful for both access from the north and exploring beach towns. We will definitely return and look forward to seeing how the property evolves under Todd's ownership!
