The land features redwood groves, a year-round creek, a swimming pond, and spectacular upland views. Several rustic cabins are secluded among the redwoods. There is a central bathhouse with showers, flush toilets, and a large hot tub and sun deck. Across a creek is the residential side of our property where we tend gardens and livestock.

We're an intentional community rooted in queer chosen family and committed to environmental stewardship. Our values include heart-centered process, embodied spirituality, and reverence for the natural systems upon which all life depends.

Súper beautiful! Someone must have a green thumb as flowers were popin’. Everything was clean, peaceful, and comfortable. Had a great chat with a member resident and really appreciate the community space the’re creating. I look forward coming back for one of their events.

I'd highly recommend Groundswell to any Queer folx looking for some time in the woods. Sprite and the rest of the GS family were welcoming and kind enough to show us around, including some of their favorite swimming spots!

The cabins are clean and well-kept, the hot tub was perfect for the chilly evenings, and the creek and pond kept us cool in the 90+ heat.

My only recommendation to GS would be to establish a Hipcamp/visitor kitchen space with more prep equipment and a dishwashing sink!

See you all again soon!

Groundswell is absolutely magical! I wish we had come when there were more people as it sounds like such a great inclusive community where people eat together, have bonfires and work on the property together. It is also perfect for bringing a group of friends together as the cabins are stacked with bunks. There are also some cabins with bigger beds and good for couples I think as well. The cabins are very well decorated and have books for reading, art and include a heater as well - which saved me as I forgot my sleeping bag (can get a bit chilly at night here)! The hot tub was also amazing and they have a great shower/bathroom facility for all the campers. We didn't get to see the pond but I am sure it is a beautiful place to hang out and read. Since we only had one night there we stuck around the town and dad a great time there! There are lots of places to go wine tasting and shop around. We had an amazing breakfast at the Boonville General Store- amazing bacon and carrot bread!

Entrance to campground! Welcome ribbons :)

My friends and I had an absolutely magical time staying at Groundswell. We didn’t get the chance to meet Justin, but Sprite hosted us and was very kind and responsive to our questions, as were other residents we met. The cabin was so cute and cozy, the queer summer camp of our dreams. We’re already ready to plan our next trip. So grateful such a healing and safe community space exists for queer nature time!
