Learn more about this land: Tired of the comforts of this Nerf, baby-proofed world we live in?? Put off by these "Glamp-ing" getaways that promise to be "intense", but they're not even in tents??Looking for an escape that's the real-deal; want to experience the wild, and test yourself?? Welcome to the Survivalists Dream!!! (or is it a nightmare?)Desert! Rocks! Dope bushes! Dope Cacti! Maybe a Rabbit! Maybe a Rattlesnake! Maybe a Rabbit fighting a Rattlesnake! OH MY HECK!! (bring your camera, wildlife is wild). Look, if you're looking for "faux-wilderness" experience handed to you on a charcuterie platter with garnishes (really? who eats parsley sprigs anyways?), then this ain't it. This place is pure twisted steel and sex appeal! Seriously though, this is an awesome 5 acre site on a ridge line overlooking a cool valley and a super cool mountain. The views are crazy (especially sunrise/sunset). It has tons of room, no one lives onsite, and borders hundreds of acres of BLM land to the west, which has all kinds of hiking and offroading trails and stuff. We have 3 spacious campsites with fire pits and plenty of room for tents, vans, campers, etc. Feel free to pick whichever of the 3 sites suites you best, unless you're sharing for the night, in which case we ask you maintain a respectful distance. Unless you don't want to and you go make cool new friends and really embrace the spice of life! Either way, we're cool. 20 Minutes to Joshua Tree National Park15 Minutes to Joshua Tree Saloon/Downtown10 Minutes to Stater Bros groceries (great meat market!)

We have a great night at Survivalists Dream. It was the perfect place to get away from it all in a minimalist setting. Great spot to enjoy sunrise and sunset. Would definitely recommend.

Solid campground, very private and nice views. Great communication from the host as well. I would use this site again.

Pleasant sunset campsite
Nice no frills campsite! The view at sunset was incredible, and we enjoyed being away from the crowds in Joshua Tree. We brought our own wood and had a fire going all night. There’s sandy areas below and right of where the fire pit is, and we chose to sleep on the sand in a flat area. Don’t forget water and be sure to pack out any trash you have. We were going to camp on BLM land, but it was so covered in trash we chose to sleep here, and I’m so glad we did. It’s pretty easy to find as well! Thanks for a good place to put a tent at a fair price ☺️

7.5/10
Overall it was nice. There was some glass left behind from someone else. And the tire on the post was behind a bush, nigh impossible to find. But the view was beautiful over the valley. Open skies, nice sunset and sunrise. Close enough to the west entrance of Joshua tree, which is the best entrance. And close to a nice saloon for some good eats and a dollar general for anything you may have forgotten. - 1 for the glass - 0.5 for the hidden tire on post - 1 for no tables or anything like that

It was nice but nothing to get excited about. There was trash all over and the pictures show a fire pit, which there wasn’t. Also there were people close enough to where we could hear them talking so it’s not very secluded.
