Frog Hollow Farm Stay

Situated on 12 acres, this Safari tent is the perfect spot to get away and relax from the pressure and chaos of your daily routine.  It’s a spot where you will unplug and enjoy the songs of the evening crickets and frogs.

The 13’ Stout Bell tent is sitting on a hillside where you'll find a nice hammock to enjoy your favorite book and countless numbers of stars at night.

Our Bell tent has 2 sturdy cots with a wool and cotton bed roll for peaceful sleeping.  Please BRING your own bedding, sleeping bag or blankets and a pillow for yourselves.  Inside you will find cozy sitting cushions, layers of carpets, a wood burning stove which is perfect for the kettle.  The Bell tent has plenty of head room to stand and move around in.  There is a 2 burner gas grill along with a charcoal bbq and ice chest.   There is a well lit  bathroom with hot shower and flushable toilet 100 yards away.

Our 12 acre small farm is located on Hwy 41, a 10 minute drive to the coast, 20 minutes from both San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles where you will find shopping, fine restaurants and plenty of local wineries in the area.  We have a moderate climb hiking trail down the road, Cerro Alto, that offers beautiful views of our coastline.

Simply sit back and watch the the wild turkeys and deer roaming freely on our land.  Or, head out to taste some of San Luis Obispo County award winning wines.

No wood fires are allowed at this time. We have provided our guests propane fire pits at each site. You’ll need to bring your own 15-20 lb propane tanks if you would like to enjoy the propane fire pit.

Please practice "leave no trace “pack in /pack out”,  We have a garbage can at the washroom for you to throw all your trash.  Thanks!   BYO drinking water.

had a nice stay at the site, was nice to relax outside with table and chairs and pretty much all thats needed for a pleasant outdoors experience. the bathroom and shower are shared with the other site, and is super clean and pleasant even though i didnt think a glass door was the best choice for the toilet! ha ha ha.
i wish the tent was as clean as the bathroom! it did not look like it was cleaned after the prior guests left (there was popcorn and tags from clothing behind the beds, the floor with multiple rugs has not been vacuumed, and there was spider webs - with spiders - inside the tent)
it was definitely not Covid Certified as said, when we took our own sanitizer wipes to the surfaces inside the tent, they were black as can be, so for sure were not wiped a couple of hours earlier when the people before us left. felt uneasy especially at a time like this :( with that said, if the tent was somewhat clean it would have been a great spot)

We had a wonderful stay at Frog Hollow. Was very easy to get to but once there you felt as if you were deep in the woods. Dana was a great host, friendly, available, and anticipated all our needs. The tent was comfy and beautiful. We were sorry we didn’t have more time there and can’t wait to return.

Such a great place to get away! The property was located a short 20 minute drive to morro Bay/Cayucos.
We loved the bathroom with a tankless water heater. Warm, Cozy and Cute inside the tent with nice little accents. The Cots for sleeping had nice thick cotton pads with clean sheets and blankets! I definitely overpacked as so many things were included such as dishware, pots pans, tongs, propane stove, etc.
Dana was so kind and welcoming! She responded to my last minute inquiries about things to do around town.
Arriving at the beginning of fire season was a disappointment To learn fires weren’t allowed. But we totally understood. We were really looking forward to goats, chickens and deer but a recent predator forced the family to relocate the animals for safety reasons.
All in all it was a great time and we hope to go back next spring!

We loved staying in the Safari tent! It was great to arrive and have a tent set up for us... it was clear that Dana has put a lot of love into making the stay enjoyable. From the French press coffee to the excellent camping stove to the tea candles for the evening, she has considered so many details. The bathroom is also sparkling clean and super cute. The location is great, too! Close to lots of good hiking and lovely beaches. I would encourage anyone coming to bring a lot of warmies as the evenings were pretty chilly and we weren't able to make a fire because of fire danger. Thanks to Dana for creating a beautiful stay.

The safari tent at Frog Hollow Farm was a perfect home away from home for a relaxing, stress-free camping trip. Dana’s property is gorgeous & the tent was just as advertised - boho-chic & super comfortable. It was also lovely to have everything we needed to cook & store food, as well as a very cool outdoor bathroom, on site. We plan to visit again!

This site was adorable! The drive way up to the site definitely requires 4WD but thankfully we had a truck.
The owners are wonderful and have provided everything you need to cook your meals. There are comfy cots available to sleep in but bring your own sleeping bag and pillow. There is poor cell service which is nice if you want to just hang out with your partner which is what we came here to do! It is the best middle between camping and “glamping”.
This is a wonderful site and we will definitely be coming back!

Arriving there was easy , we simply followed the instructions given by the host , and when we arrived we saw goats/ rams ... it was such a lovely site. Our tent hut was on a little private hill , with parking for my car... it was very private and so darling. The inside was cozy , well maintained with some very thoughtful touches like the wine glass cups and the lights... the outside was equally just as thoughtful from the ice chest to the fire pit to the drawer full of kitchen stuff and salt and pepper . The bathroom was so cute , hot water flushable toilet ... most importantly you could see the love that went into making that Bathroom starting with the jean shower curtain to the pipe on the tree log to hold the toilet paper . We didn’t see our host Dana the entire time ... it was rather refreshing , I’ve had experiences in the past where the host was around a little too excessively. Overall this was a great relaxing trip.
