Nice campsite ! Enjoy the view in the morning on the beautiful hills near LA. Matthew was really friendly and like to take care of the hosts. Just be careful with the road to drive to the campsite, sometimes it is difficult for the biggest RV.
Great experience, i recommend this place !!! Thanks Matthew.
Love wildlife for 20$
#1 look for the red house barn and turn left ,
#2 don’t try to drive all the way up with small cars , only suv
#3 don’t expect showers and bathrooms because I diren’t find anything
# 4 when you are driving or walking all the way up stay in the left side of the road , after the second Rv ( old crash ford ) turn right , there is a good flat spot not that far from the old rv , enjoy the view in the morning and don’t expect luxury for 20$ , we totally love the place and the animals in the morning
I do not recommend arriving without daylight, neither using a regular car. At least 2x4, 4x4 ideally (especially if it ever rains).
The place did not feel safe. And do not get me wrong, I have been camping in the middle of nowhere without issues before, but it was the context made me and my friends hesitant.
After a bumpy road, getting lost, we found our way in (during the evening). The second RV we were supposed reach in order to identify the spot had a lot of metal trash around it, and beautiful big iron plate (2m x 1m) with “F*** Trump” Spray Painted.
There were no signs of toilets, neither showers, which were supposed to be available.
We contacted the host prior our arrival to ask for it through hipcamp message, and we are still waiting the response. We tried to call the host several times, but we got an answer machine stating the phone was disconnected or not available anymore.
We left right away and ended up sleeping in a gas station...
