This was a very interesting glamping experience. The Airstream trailer was very luxurious, and the setting was peaceful, exactly what we wanted.

My girlfriend and I had booked two nights here over the New years holiday. During our first night there we had a concern that, in any situation, was major and needed to be addressed. We noticed that the tank under the toilet, every time we went to flush, was at max capacity and every time we went to the bathroom and tried to flush, it basically just sat there. When I brought this to the owners attention, he had called me to clarify what was happening. So I explained it to him. After having me check a couple things, he just said “oh ok” and then ended the call. I had texted him a couple hours later asking for an update on how we were going to handle this. Mind you, there was a huge snow storm going on, and there is no back up bathroom for us to use. He called me again explaining he was out of town and due to the holiday and finding someone to fix this was going to be difficult. He said he was going to ask his friend after our call ended but we never heard back about that. How can there not be one single emergency plumber in the area? He offered to refund us the second night if we wanted to leave, but we had both driven a long way for this trip. He also told us we could always just pee in the shower. After the 2nd call, we heard nothing. No follow up, no apology for the huge inconvenience, nothing. He should have had a back up plan for something like this, knowing he would be out of town. He didn’t seem concerned whatsoever. He could have done better :(

This was my first booking through Hip Camp and it couldn’t have gotten any better!
The location of our Airstream was in a prime location surrounded by numerous trails and nearby the local town.
The Airstream was very cozy to say the least. All the amenities listed worked properly and were functionally sound. The welcome handbook thoroughly explained the rules and instructions on how to use each device in the Airstream. Luckily, the weather was perfect during the weekend stay and had no issues. Parking was very easy and accessible! Blair & Mike were able to provide precise information about various hikes throughout Idyllwild. The BBQ grill they provided adjacent to the Airstream worked without any issue.
Would highly recommend staying here again.
Side note: Don’t forget to bug spray!

We loved the airstream so much. The place was very new, tidy, and clean. Outside, there was a propane grill that we were allowed to use. All the appliances in the airstream (stove, oven, microwave, coffeemaker) worked. We used the grill and grilled meat during the evening. Super quiet area, but not too far away from Idyllwild Village center (about a 10 minute drive). Would recommend doing a hike and checking out the town center. Totally recommend for a romantic nature getaway.

It was amazing place! It was very peaceful and quiet. I’m so glad to find this spot. Hot shower and cooking is so easy because everything is already there. I will def go back and already recommended to my friends.

Parking up top above a bluff side airstream camper. Views of the hills and vista were just what we needed. Quiet sanctuary in Idyllwild just on the outskirts of town.

Such a sweet spot! Blair & Mike have placed their super modern, equipped airstream on top of the sweetest overlook. You walk out in the morning into a deep forrested valley and mountains on the other side. It hailed the first night I was there and I could hear all the little hail droplets bouncing off the airstream as they lulled me to sleep in a cloud of early spring weather. Mike very graciously welcomed me to their airstream and gave me detailed instructions of where to go for great bike rides and creek hikes. The creek and waterfall hike is not to be missed! I did this one twice and only saw one group of people there. Super majestic misty and magical. Also, a hike on the road next to the airstream takes you to another incredible lookout. The houses in the airstream’s neighborhood are a house lovers dream. Completely unique, each one. The bed in the airstream is particularly comfortable. Blair is a designer and did an incredible job with the house manual that really makes you feel like you’re on a secret rocket ship (The Fulton’s Comet) in their airstream! Super creative and extremely clean. A delight for anyone who wants to spend a bit of time in the quaint magic that is Idyllwild.

What a beautiful getaway! The airstream was awesome and had great amenities and the views were even better. We really enjoyed just lounging out on the chairs and being away from it all. We had such a wondering 4th of July weekend here. Blair and Mike were super responsive and helpful! Can’t wait to come back.

Staying in this airstream for the weekend felt like a whole different world. The property itself was gorgeous and the quiet scenery was so different from the city life I am used to. The airstream is modern and has ample space to store things. The heater worked well for us and the only thing which didn’t work was the stove/oven which didn’t matter much because we were so close to the village! Right at the end of the street is a spot called “inspiration point” which had breathtaking views. I would highly recommend both the area and this Hipcamp.

Fulton's Comet was everything expected and more. The airstream was immaculate and in amazing condition. The bed was so comfy and the amenities were perfect.
Mike gave us the best suggestions on where to hike, what restaurants to eat at and great view points.
Would recommend to anyone wanting to escape the concrete jungle and escape into the wild for a few days

We would definitely recommend Fulton’s Comet. The Airstream was immaculate inside, the bed extremely comfortable and there’s even air-conditioning which we used during the night. The host, Mike, was very welcoming and helpful. Aside from the short time we spent with Mike, we didn’t see or hear anyone else. It was such a pleasure to be immersed in nature, in this peaceful and private location.

We’ve been wanting to check out an airstream for ages and this was the perfect opportunity. The location is great. Close to the road but once you are at the site, the road disappears. The airstream is fairly pristine and incredibly comfortable. You are within a short walk to a stunning 180 degree view. Sunset was spectacular. We also woke up early one morning and walked across the street to watch the sunrise.

I had a magical night at Fulton’s Comet. The location and view were perfect. I walked ten minutes down the street and watched the sunset. The Airstream was super clean and the bed very comfortable. It was incredibly quiet and serene. The fridge wasn’t working but they were nice enough to bring a cooler for me to use. All in all, a wonderful experience and I would absolutely book again.

Mike and Blair's airstream was like a dream! Beautifully maintained and super clean, equipped with everything we needed, and situated on a hill with a spectacular view. The location is just minutes outside of Idyllwild, but felt like you were alone in nature. Mike was excellent at explaining all of the details about staying in an airstream and made sure we were enjoying our stay. Highly recommend!
