Livia is a super friendly host and her place is truly unique. It's located in the middle of rolling hills with some stunning views. There's a number of different places you can sleep - from popping up a tent to one of a number of bedrooms in the main house. There are a ton of places to relax and enjoy the sunset. And then it's a short drive to Carmel or Big Sur for some fun daytime activities.
An off-the-beaten-path gem. Quirky, well maintained, and safe. Livia is a superb host, and she seems more than willing to accommodate whatever it is you might need: campsite, bed, grill, bathroom, dishware. If you're like me, you'll also run into other adventurous campers from all over willing to exchange stories and laughs. Bring whatever it is that makes you you! I am truly appreciative for hosts like Livia :)
The space is perfect with breathtaking views, pool and a friendly, liberal vibe. Very few rules which I loved. Livia was a great host who made me feel at home. The cows and horses are adorable too! I’ll definitely be back.
We had a wonderful experience staying at Folly Foot Frolic....our host Livia was friendly, warm & welcoming & she made us feel right at home. We especially enjoyed feeding the horses & dipping our toes in the pool before heading off for our next adventure.
The host, Livia was great! Super friendly and relaxed. She gave me entire tour of the property, made me feel at home and provided latte's in the morning! Wow, what a treat! The ambiance and location tucked away in Carmel Valley is a real treat for those looking to get away, but also have amenities. My 9 year old daughter loved the horses and cows on the property. Also gentle and sweet <3 I would definitely come back!
I went with my boyfriend for one night. We were exploring Carmel and Point Lobos area.
Livia has created an amazing space. We arrived late and she had already made a campfire and welcomed us.
Early in the morning we jumped into the swimming pool that she carefully keeps clean.
we had a great time at folly foot! the multiple bbqs in addition to the outdoor kitchen made cooking super easy, and we loved lounging by the pool while most of the other campers were out for the day. the horses are gorgeous, and Sid the black cat will be your best friend if you let him in your lap. for the most privacy try to get the spot by the pond (bonus frog chorus to sing you to sleep). can't wait to visit again!
Livia was so friendly and welcoming! We arrived pretty late at night, frazzled from hours of driving and she didn’t mind at all; gave us a mini tour and everything. I feel bad that we left the next morning without saying goodbye. We got distracted by seeing Lawrence’s goldfinches, lost track of time, and then we just kind of ran off because were in a hurry to get to Big Sur. Would definitely have liked to spend more time at such a lovely spot with such a nice host.
