Ti pi dream come true
Carol was an amazing host! Our backpacking plans in Yosemite fell through and we were in the valley at 7pm with nowhere to stay that night. We managed to get a glimpse of wifi and found the tipi on Hipcamp. I booked and sent a message that we'd be getting in late and sorry for the late notice. Carol responded immediately and said that the tipi was set up for us!
She sent us personalized directions which actually worked out better than the Google map directions. We were very impressed with the roads the whole way. It was paved all the way up to the driveway of the property.
We arrived later than I would have liked (11pm) and Carol was there waiting for us. She gave us a tour, a lantern and made sure we had everything we needed for the night. Each of the 4 cots had sleeping bags, pillows, blankets and towels. Such luxury!
P.S. the outdoor shower is amazing :)
It was an amazing experience. The Ti Pi was very nice and clean, the landscape was beautiful, and the outdoor shower was a nice bonus. Carol was very nice. I would definitely stay there again.
A slice of california heaven
We loved staying at Carol's TiPi on her beautiful and sprawling property with stunning views of the surrounding region. The campsite has everything you would need - a shower, toilet, plenty of access to water, grilling tools, a campfire pit, and three adorable dogs that keep you safe from any wild critters that might be around. We really enjoyed getting to know Carol and her son, who were extremely warm and welcoming hosts.
The best part of the entire campsite is the view of the stars at night. You can see the milky way and all the constellations are so bright and identifiable. Truly a special treat.
Camping without our own gear
I was a little worried about bugs, the temperature and the comfort of the cots. Nun were an issue. We all slept great. The site is very quiet and very remote. The drive was more of a challenge than we expected, but there was no other traffic on the road and we took it slow. We would stay here again.
Great place to star gaze :-)! Close to Yosemite national park (90 minutes drive to Yosemite Valley). My wife and I stayed there for a night. Place felt safe and quiet, nothing fancy but basics are well covered. Carol was kind to show us around and explain how things work. Insect repellant is a must and was provided on the site. Dogs are lovely and friendly.
What a great place to stay! A couple of friends and I were wanting to stay near Yosemite, and I'm so thankful that I found this place. Carol was great with directions, accommodations, and information regarding the space. The property is beautiful, and off the grid. I honestly wish i could've stayed here longer just to enjoy the view. Also the dogs were an added bonus. :-)
