Our land is 37 acres in total.  The front half is a patchwork of our fruit and vegetable fields, irrigated pasture, a creek, and forest. The back half (where you'll be camping) is mostly forested in Madrone, Cedar, and Pine.  We've set up camping sites that have a special feeling next to a particularly nice tree, a private nook in the forest, or perched above a drainage with a more expansive feeling.

Each site has a wooden platform to pitch your tent 8ft.X8ft. and a picnic table, and is just a short walk from the parking area. Our more private sites are not directly visible from any of the others. Other sites are a minimum of 75 feet away from each other. If you are more than a party of two and would like a larger site than we would recommend sites 2 or 3 for more space to set up if you will have more than one tent as the other sites are more wooded with less open space. Each site does have cleared space for another tent in case your party has more than one tent. You cannot unload your car at the sites so just be prepared to walk your stuff in from the parking area to whatever site you choose. We provide a wheelbarrow and crates to make that easier! There is a shared compost-toilet near the parking area and delicious water from or well. Sites are no more than a three minute walk from the parking area.

This is a working, certified organic farm.  We grow fruits and vegetables for local farmers markets,  restaurants and our amazing food coop, Briarpatch. On Tuesdays from 4-7pm beginning around mid-May we sell vegetables and fruits from our on-site farm stand.  In addition to the vegetables, we have a herd of Nubian dairy goats. The goats are actively managed and make their way through much of the property over the course of the year.  Each morning the goats are milked and then led out to where they'll be grazing for the day.  In the evenings they return to the safety of our 100+ year old barn.

We are located two miles from Downtown Nevada City, and 3 miles from great swimming holes on the south fork of the Yuba River. We love our neighborhood; the people, the land, and the sense of community.

Kat and Tim were lovely hosts! We arrived to clearly marked HIPCAMP signs leading us down the path to the parking spots and message board. The amenities here are sweet. They've built a sink with two faucets sourcing water from the well, which is totally drinkable. A shower with hot water is also available, as well as a nice pit toilet bathroom with a view (SEE: photos!). There are 6 wonderful campsites to choose from, and I promise they will not disappoint!

Morning at Campsite #2!The lovely sink with well water, which you can use for drinking or washing your dishes with the soap and sponge the hosts provide! You can get a tour of their lovely farm if you ask!A warm outdoor shower?! Yes please!!

Description of the site was accurate, amenities were neat & clean, and the location was easy to find and accessible. Sites 5 & 6 are a little far from the parking and the outhouse, shower. & sink which is cool if you're staying for multiple nights. If your staying for one night it might be better if you can snag a spots 1 through 4.

Everything was brand new and really nice. The sites were a good distance from each other. It would have been nice to have a fire, but I get why not. It was a tad bit buggy, so bringing bug spray is a good idea.

Response from Kat & Tim, the Host, on May 29th, 2018

Hi Lucy, We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay with us! Yes, we wish each site could have a fire pit as well. Unfortunately it's just not possible in this area with the danger of fire being so high. We are thinking in the future of making a communal fire pit area that we could use during allowed burn days where campers could hang out and would be a little less dangerous and easier to control. We hope you visit again!

Beautiful, new campsite nestled in the woods behind the farm. The 6 campsites are far enough from one another that each one feels private. From site 4, we could see the tents at sites 5 and 3, but couldn't really hear anything from our site. The campsite itself is beautifully maintained and the little touches (like the wildflowers in the vases and the provided crates by the sink) set it apart from other sites! The farm is in a great location, very close to Nevada City, the Yuba River, and Tahoe National Forest. Would definitely come back and recommend to friends.

Beautiful spot and accommodating hosts, would recommend! Close drive to the river, cute goats, and clean amenities (shower, sink, toilet). Only downside was tons of mosquitos and other bugs. But would definitely come back.

Beautiful campsites set amidst oaks, pines, madrones. Each site has a perfect level platform and picnic table. All of the amenities we love (flat place for tent, hot shower, privacy, Wifi that came in handy) and nothing we don’t want (generators, overcrowding, street noise). Felt very special to visit this place!
