Stayed at site A7, a beautiful location. However, it had rained the day before and the best level ground was VERY soggy wet. We ended up setting up in the driest spot we could find and slept on a slope.. Nonetheless, we would stay there again. Kevin and Jill were the on-site hosts. Kevin greeted us upon arrival and even gave us some kindling for our fire. The bathrooms need some attention and updates. They are not up to standard. If you get the chance, try Frank’s Diner on the property, great family owned spot.
Such a beautiful area! My fiance and I really enjoyed everything this campground had to offer. From disc golf to Frank's Diner across the lake there is something for everyone here. There was even a cute flower swing that hung from a tree. Would definitely recommend!
We were fairly close to the other campsites and the disc golf course was very difficult to follow. There were lots of spiders & webs in the bathrooms but the positives greatly outnumbered any dissatisfaction. Beautiful views for sunsets and sunrises, accessible campsites, and the warning about the road hazards were clear and we were able to plan our drive accordingly. The cafe at the front entry was a pleasant surprise and a nice place to grab my cup of coffee! Thanks to it’s short distance from Sacramento, we will probably come back for a future visit!
Beautiful spot by a small lake surrounded by forest. Hosts stopped by once to make sure we were comfortable and if we needed anything. Bathroom was good. The whole place was on par with a state park campground. Sites next to each other, but not on top of each other. Well kept campground. Stunning sunsets. Cool water for swimming. Will definitely return!
Lovely little gem in the sierras!
We loved our stay at Finnon! It was beautiful, quiet, and well kept. The bathrooms were nice, and it was just a lovely getaway in January! If all the sites had been occupied, it may have seemed a little crowded, but in the off season it was so perfect! We will definitely be back!
