The night skies above Finnon Lake will reveal stars unseen in most parts of California. Enjoy searching for bullfrogs, and watch the flock of Canadian Geese fly in right at sunset as the horizon blends into the watercolor sky. This private lake supports the fire protection efforts of the Mosquito Fire Protection District and the firefighters of this community. The lake is managed by volunteers of the community for the benefit of the residents The primary funding source for the Finnon Lake Restoration is the Sierra Nevada Conservancy, which was signed into law in 2004 with a mission to support “efforts that improve the environmental, economic and social well-being of the Sierra Nevada Region, its communities and the residents of California,” according to its Website. Finnon Lake is also home to a popular 18-hole disc golf course and Mosquito’s only restaurant, Frank's Diner. Enjoy swimming, boating, fishing, paddling, hiking, or biking during your stay. Wonderful camping spot!
It was beautiful. I’ll definitely be coming back! Nice little fire pit, grill, and picnic bench in the area, right next to the water at A11! Took me a sec to realize the campsite was down the road behind what was the diner, with the chairs facing the water.

Beautiful little lake, caught some bass and saw a couple ospreys and bald eagles nesting in a tree. Bathrooms were very clean and I only found

Great Stay at A2
Great stay at site A2. The site is very large and near the bathrooms, which kept clean. There is plenty of space / flat area for two tents. Honestly nothing to complain about, but just a couple FYIs: We did get hit with a rain of sticky pollen during our stay in April. The floodlight from the bathroom does shine into the tent. We do turn in early with our kids not long after sundown ~8:30pm, so the triggering might turn off after a set time, not sure.

I love it!
I love the place. It’s very peaceful & the lake was so beautiful. The restroom was clean. The campsite we had doesn’t have a lot of shade but good thing we brought a canopy. Overall, I would recommend this place & I will surely camp there again.

Nature on display
We had a great time camping with our family of 4. Excellent access and views of the lake with an abundance of nature. Firewood was available with a place to leave $ which was nice even though diner was closed. Very spacious campsites and super clean bathroom. We booked again to come back in a few months! Fish are definitely biting with bait!

This was my first time camping without the family so I was nervous & felt like I overpacked my car. Driving towards finnon lake in the mountain felt like driving to Lake Berryessa. It was smooth but watch out for cars bc they like to drive like a speed racers LOL. Everyone was friendly and kept to themselves. Restroom was walking distance, I would say it’s like walking towards the end of the electronics at a Walmart. (Somewhat closer!!) It got busier during the weekends & you would think from reading all these reviews about the frogs/birds/etc at night it would be harder to sleep but no it’s the kids at night. Towards the end of the night, everyone voice & background sounds became white noise to me. Love the family friendly & people I’ve came across <3 LGBTQ FRIENDLY!!
