This is a working farm so don't expect luxury but an experience you might not ever forget.  Depending on what time of the year you stay you could experience a lamb being born or chicks being hatched.  You may even be put to work...lol  There's dirt and bugs so if you don't like either one probably not the place for you.   You can pitch a tent or stay in our 29ft 5th wheel travel trailer (non-potable water/electricity).

We are surrounded by mountains and the Mendocino National Forest is up the road from our property.  The mornings are breathtaking and the evenings are stunning.  Brassfield Winery is 1 mile down the road with amazing award winning wines and an estate that will take your breath away. We raise chickens for fresh eggs. Collect your own every day for your breakfast or any meal. We have 2.25 acres of flat land with a seasonal creek.  Help yourself to whatever is growing in the garden/greenhouse and use it for all of your meals. There are fruit and nuts trees that you can pick during their season.

Summertime is HOT however the summer nights are cool.  There is a pool on site for cooling down.  Fall and Spring are mild warm days and clear cold nights.  In the winter months there could be light snow and some heavier snow up in the mountains you can go play in.  Fires in fire ring only in Winter/Spring months, BBQ on site.

Our valley is beautiful and offers some amazing views and wildlife, deer, turkeys, quail, pheasants, and the occasional elk can be seen on a daily basis. Bear are seen at a distance if you're lucky to see one and are harmless here. Coyote's can be heard singing and yelping to one another in the evenings with their unique and fascinating language.  Take a walk or bike down the road and visit the cows and horses along the way.

Wake up with a cup of coffee to the sounds of nature all around you. At night the sky is lit up with a millions stars. You can lay out on the trampoline and take it all in. It's absolutely breathtaking. We are located 6 miles from the shores of Clear Lake where you can enjoy a multitude of water sports.   Lake County is surrounded by wineries with awarding winning wines and hiking/mountain bike trails.  Definitely a NATURE LOVER'S dream come true.

We have 3 dogs, an 8 month old Orvchaka Shepherd, a 5 year old sweet German Shepherd, and a Border Collie cross.  Our dogs have free range of the property and may stop by for a visit.  All the dogs are very socialized and friendly.   We also have 4 cats so any dog that you bring must be kept on a leash and supervised at all times as well.  All pets must be approved before your stay.

We have farm animals here that can be noisy, sheep along with other animals in nature around the valley.  From peacocks, turkey, mocking birds, to a variety of song birds.  We have chickens with a rooster who crows at any given time.

Because of the nature of the property please make sure all children are supervised at all times by an adult.

The Ferguson Farm was so fun! Our hosts, Gretchen and Ty, were very welcoming. The farm and trailer accommodations were perfect for our family of five. The trailer has two beds that sleep two each. We brought a travel crib for the baby and it fit at the foot of the main bed. The trailer has bedding, towels, and kitchen supplies. We took the older boys fishing at Clear Lake State Park. This was a great day trip but my kids could not wait to get back to the farm! It was a very relaxing trip. I would definitely recommend this location.

Our stay at Ferguson Farm was absolutely great! We stayed in the 5th wheeler which was very spacious and comfortable. The host Gretchen and Ty were so friendly and helpful; they went out of their way to make us feel welcome and at home. The property lies on a ranch and is perfect for anyone who would like a more rustic experience as it is an active farm with live animals. We will definitely be returning in the future!

Our stay at Ferguson Farm was wonderful. Gretchen and Ty are lovely, social, and eager to please! We enjoyed eating fresh eggs for breakfast, splashing around in their pool during the hot days, sitting out under the bright and plentiful stars during the cool nights, and exploring town with their recommendations for food, boat rental, and things to do. The winery nearby was a nice perk, too. They have two large and extremely friendly dogs, as well as pigs, chickens, sheep, and alpacas (at least while we were there), and they did everything they could to make our stay exactly what we needed. The trailer is roomy and comfortable, hot shower, cold AC, and a comfy bed plus a couch that converts to another bed. Their listing helped us know what to expect: this is a farm, there is a rooster (earplugs were provided!), there were bugs (not terrible--I'm wimpy with bugs but survived), and we appreciated the feeling of being perfectly off the grid for a long weekend. It's a good jumping off point for adventures around the Clear Lake area. As far as Covid closures, most things in the area were open, and wearing a mask is advised as in the rest of the state. The stay at Ferguson Farm felt reasonably safe. Also would consider this spot kid-friendly.

We spent four days up at this property and had a great time. The hosts were super positive and helpful and made every accommodation available so we would have a great time.

The fifth wheel is well kept, super clean, and very roomy for a family of 4+ our dog. We had a bonus of being able to help out with the animals on the farm. A great experience for both of our teens. We’ve done a lot of Hipcamp and Airbnb destinations, this is one of our favorites thus far.

This place was great and super relaxing. The host and her husband were super friendly and welcoming. The RV was very clean. The bed was really comfy. We had breakfast with fresh eggs from the farm. There are several wineries close by. You can see beautiful sunsets from the farm. Thank you so much for everything Gretchen. We would love to go back soon.

We had such a great time here! Gretchen and Ty were wonderful hosts, super generous and kind. Everything was clean and met our expectations. The trailer had everything we needed. Really cool being able to get our own eggs and veggies from the garden. Quick drive into town and the surrounding towns are not far. Brassfield Winery 1 mile up the road was a nice perk as well. Would definitely return! Highly recommend!

Our 7-year old twin girls loved staying with Gretchen, Ty and all of their animals, especially their dogs. Since we've been Sheltering-in-Place for the last 4 months, having a pool to swim in, a trampoline to jump around on, and a tire swing that swings a diameter of at least 20 feet, was a play haven for our kids.

Further, Gretchen kindly delayed feeding the farm animals until our kids came out, so they could experience it. Both Gretchen and Ty took the time to show us around and explain or demonstrate so many things. They benefitted with hands-on/in-person learning.

They also made sure we had everything we needed, including towels for the pool and pool toys. To top it off, they gave us some squash they harvested, which were super fresh and tasty!

The trailer itself was spacious (for a trailer) and clean. It was reassuring that Ty is a clean freak and steam cleans the carpet after each guest. They stock the trailer with basic amenities, including ear plugs, which are helpful if you're a light sleeper.

It was hot outside, but nice that the trailer has A/C.

A couple of their dogs are big, but so sweet. Their cats are all very friendly too.

We look forward to our next visit in the Fall or Spring.

Sweet Mama Cat. They allowed us to hold one of the lambs. Our wonderful hosts, Ty & Gretchen. The pool was perfect for our 7-year olds -- just deep enough to practice swimming and just shallow enough that they could jump off the floor and get back to the surface.

Ty and Gretchen were fabulous hosts to me, my young son and a fellow dad and his son. The farm animals and friendly dogs were such an absolute delight for the kids that they had no desire to venture off the property for the 3 days and 2 nights we were there. From the fresh eggs from the chicken coop to the farm chores Ty allowed our enthusiastic city kids to do to the refreshing, spacious pool, we all had an amazing stay. The RV was super clean and all the appliances and facilities worked perfectly. We highly recommend staying there and hope to return soon!!

This was the highlight of our summer and the last five months!! Out kids 5 and 7 really enjoyed the entire experience so much so that they are already asking to go back. There are a few reasons for that. First and foremost, Gretchen & Ty are an amazingly hospitable couple that make this experience - 5 star!!
We came here with our quarantine bubble family also with 2 kids, - used the trailer and tents outside. It was very comfortable. Kids truly enjoyed the farm experience!! Looking for eggs, meeting the lambs, pigs and the alpaca was so fun!! But the most precious was how friendly the three pet dogs were with the kids. My children keep taking about them! We all
Want to go back the next chance we get!! :)
