Very nice place to stay with really helpful hosts, quiet and peaceful.
The only bad thing was the ‘portaloo’ as it was gross... very full and smelly! We stopped drinking so we didn’t have to go.
We had a lovely overnight here! Bowie was warm and welcoming and we made ourselves right at home! We walked to the river after setting up our tents under blossoming apple trees, and had a nice fire in the evening.
Bowie was really accommodating to our late late day of request to camp on his really sweet apple ranch. It was perfect for our needs and felt like being with friends from the minute we arrived. We will definitely reach out again when traveling through and need a place to crash for the night.
We really enjoyed our stay & were able to recharge for the next day. The orchard & surrouding houses were very quiet & there was a beautiful river to walk to. Bowie & Matt both said hello & we briefly talked about the property & some of their farming practices. We had run out of food beforehand & didn’t realize how far the closest store was, so if you stay out here don’t make our mistake! We’ll definitely stay again if we’re in the area.
Beautiful location, with an amazing river swimming hole and proximity to the redwoods, and incredibly friendly & gracious hosts! Bowie and his crew were beyond welcoming and made our stay truly memorable. We will be back and highly recommend this orchard for other humboldt county campers!
Bowie was an awesome host who went out of his way to make sure we had a great time at Feisty Dog orchards. It’s the perfect spot to camp to see the redwoods, visit the lost coast, and enjoy the Humboldt vibe. We can’t wait to come back and would highly recommend to other campers.
