I had a great experience with my 20 year old son at this site.

What an amazing location! Lots of open hilly grassland, cows, great cycling roads, a few miles from spectacular coastline and fun little towns.

Guido, our host met us with an ice cooler of freshly picked produce from their two acre farm and a couple racks of lamb that we later threw on the grill for a delicious dinner. I had enough lettuces, beets, parsley and water cress to for both us to have for many more meals at home.

We got great weather, blue skies most of the time and blissfully cool temperatures (55-70 degrees).

After checking in we went off to lunch at Nick's Cove (15 minute drive) next to Tamales Bay. Then we toured around on our bikes (literally some of the best biking roads anywhere. Country roads away from highway 1 with very few cars).

Then enjoying the campsite the rest of the late afternoon and evening with a great dinner on the campfire. Aside from mooing from the cows just peace and quiet and expansive views of surrounding grassy hills, dozens of cows and a creek that runs through the area (you could put in a kayak and paddle out to coast, Guido says takes three hours).

You should know- It can be windy here (15-20 mph).

I see going back again soon.

We loved our stay here! A gorgeous property and great location. The host was super friendly and communicative. Compost toilet was clean and well stocked with TP and hand sanitizer. We got delicious fresh eggs and veggies from the farm and had a delicious breakfast.

the staff was great, very welcoming. If you like, you can also order some high quality beef, eggs and produce directly from the farm and cook at the camp site.. Everything tastes delicious, very fresh. the site is pretty, quiate, the cattle baheved super well :) i loved the fact we were just aside the river canal and we could kayak right away as well. Toilet was cleaned and organized. my friends and I had a great experience.

Adorable cows, not for those who need to sleep in, however! Compost toilet was clean and not smelly. Better than chemical or pit toilet for sure! The several sites were well laid out for privacy. Our site had enough flat space for several tents in a row, if needed. Windy.

Guido is an excellent host, and provided extra care beyond our expectations. He delivered farm fresh foods to our campsite. The campsite itself was well maintained and private, with relaxing views of the local hills.
Make sure you bring plenty of water to the campsite, as the water sources are not potable unless a water filter is used.

We had such a great stay!! Guido and Emily are wonderful hosts, quickly answering any questions and taking great care of the camp area and campers. We got a couple of T-bones and a freshly made focaccia (still warm!) from them one night, and both were amazing - highly recommended, and definitely some of the best camping food we've had :) The landscape is really beautiful there, and we went for a walk along the ridge one day, where we had a picnic lunch with the cows. We went into Tomales and got some veggies from the farm stand too, which I'd also recommend. We would definitely go back again!

A lovely spot! Quiet and peaceful! Composting toilet is totally clean & the nicely spaced-apart campsites have firepits and water easily accessible. We had a great night.

This place is so cool!!! Pictures do not do it justice! The misty ocean inversion that crept in in the morning, lasting usually until midday was so magical. It was so quiet and peaceful! The cows mooing across the river were an added perk to the gorgeous surroundings. Despite our campsite being the first one in a row of sites we felt very secluded. We had a brush that blocked us from our neighbors across the road and enjoyed a fire while listening to music and didn’t feel disturbed or that we were disturbing others. We were also really close to the compost toilet which was nice! We absolutely loved this place! I would also highly recommend taking advantage of the add ons. We ordered ground beef and steaks. Guido asked our pick of cuts even! I had a filet and my husband ordered a ribeye (bone in) both were phenomenal! We cooked the burgers and steaks on the grill over the open fire and seasoned them with the fresh herb boutique provided. Emily even made us homemade focaccia bread! We ate most of the loaf in the first day it was that good! We also ordered the farm fresh eggs and picked up some veggies from the farm stand just five minutes down the road in Tomales. We cooked our eggs and veggies for breakfast and made salads for dinner. Everything exceeded our expectations. Guido was so helpful with answering all my questions and he brought the food right to our campsite! He deserves an award for his hospitality. He has a gem of a spot and his kindness and offerings made the experience that much better. We also explored Dillion Beach just down the road. It was a great beach! Very large, so even though there were a lot of people, we felt safe. The area surrounding the farm was also breathtaking! The trees lined the old California 1 Highway on one side and rolling hills of farmlands filled with sheep and cows on the other. We were also right next to the ocean! The road weaved around the coast and takes you all the way to Point Reyes National Seashore if you want to make the long drive. We were so happy with our stay and the area. We will definitely be back!
