The parking area is conveniently directly in front of it. Right now with California stay at home orders, you are allowed to self quarantine and you will be alone in this campground to stop any germ spread**Stay on 45 beautiful acres bordering The Joshua Tree National Park to the West and just 1 mile to the Park gate and Skys the Limit observatory - our location is perfect for star gazing. There is hiking, biking, climbing nearby. Jumbo Rocks are 8 miles away. There is a Paved Biking lane to the National Park and there are also many dirt roads around the camp for mountain biking or hiking. Our property was once an outward bound camp. It is an excellent alternative when the National Park campgrounds are full which is often. Although there are multiple sites, we only list 1 to keep the area safe and peaceful...This listing is for the tent site just to the right of the black water tank and brick structure, which is by the parking area. Do not camp near the earth house on the cement platform or on the yurt pads. Thank you in advance for being respectful. At night there are great views of the stars and also the lights in the distance. If you hike around the wilderness area around camp you may see rabbits, chipmunk type animals, tortoise, and roadrunners. I have seen all of these this fall. You may also hear coyotes but they don’t like to go near humans I’ve heard them but not seen them. You must bring your own wood.. please stay on the rock lined paths. The desert is fragile. and DO NOT Drive over any of the rocks or bushes, there is a designated parking area in front of the wood and brick storage structure next to the black water tank just in front of the only open camp site. FYI. There is cell phone reception here but not usually in the National Park and remember, this is a fragile desert landscape. Please leave no trace or I will have to close again. Thank you

Erica's land and Erica herself were awesome! We were the first group of Hipcampers and it was one of the best last-minute trips we could make. We were less than a mile outside of the park and we couldn't pass up on the price.
Erica was very communicative and let us know ahead of time with what to expect since we were arriving at night. In the morning, she stopped by when we were awake and handed us some frozen water bottles for the day since it was going to be a warm one. Super hospitable and friendly.
Overall the spot was a huge convenience and the area was perfect for a tent or two. The firepit was also an awesome addition. All I wish was provided was a picnic table. Highly recommend! We will be back (:
Erica is an incredible host!!
The energy of the land is beautiful,& feels empowering to spiritual awakenings.
Also the camp site is so close to jumbo rocks in Joshua tree! As well as many other hiking trails!
I highly reccomend this spot for a great Joshua tree experience!
Quick simple and easy to find and set up camp. Minutes away from the park entrance. We showed up in the dark and the markers were easy to spot. Will be back again!
Absolutely stunning spot! The site was past the Joshua tree visitor center and had a great view down on the town. Site was accessible with a short drive but very far from any road noise. Host was very welcoming and offered us tea and coffee in the morning as well as answering our questions. I don’t write reviews but felt obligated because it was exceptional.
Erica was great. A++++ The site was exactly as described and in great shape. Host was really great. Would stay again!
Heaven on earth is putting it lightly. Erica is amazingly friendly and so generous . Home made cookies and tea. Wow , I will never stay anywhere else , actually I better book another stay ASAP. If want to experience the majesty of the desert you won’t go wrong.
Erica's land was exactly what we were looking for. A nice well kept space with solid ground for pitching a tent and a firepit. The location is exceptional for anyone visiting J tree, as the park is right across the street and the entrance is just down the road. Erica was also a very responsive, accommodating, and helpful host. Highly recommend!
Second time and this time the cookies we’re waiting for me in the snow. Wow way better than any other place. They views are from heaven. If I didn’t have to go home I would just stay. One of my favorite places on earth. Can’t wait to come back.

Thanks a million for your kind words. We will plan to build a table closer to the camp site. There should be many improvements over the next few months. We do offer use of the table near the house until the closer one is complete. All the best to you and yours!!
