It's two acres just around the corner from Modoc Forest. Up in the hills, the view is great.Deep in the woods, higher altitude, snow belt during the winter. Use your pit or compost toilet, a pit fire, fire wood around the property. Hunting and fishing would be a good possibility. Directions: Take California Pines BLVD about 20 minutes until Overland RD on the left, stay left for about half a mile until you see James RD and you are there. James RD should be on your left, and the property is directly to the right. See photos for camping parcels and direction details.

California Pines camping

We plugged in the coordinates given which led us to an unsafe (for our 2wd) location with no landmarks or indication/sign that a campsite was anywhere nearby. The area was rocky, uneven, and on a steep incline with no area for a tent. We were told to follow signs but there weren’t any! The two closest things were an abandoned trailer in the woods and a family that had no idea who our host was or any nearby camping. Host wasn’t reachable. We think Emmanuel may be a bot or a scammer.
