The Dome Asylum, hippie homestead, is a geodesic domicile built in 1986. The Dome Asylum is focused on sustainability. Indeed, we see the property as our own little, just-over-an-acre, eco-park. In addition to the aquaponic and keyhole gardens, the Dome Asylum features several cactus gardens, a meditation trail, and a natural pool/tub. The plants and fish in the pool are just one of the many pleasant discoveries you will encounter during your stay.
Located along the meditation trail, this site offers power and a water spigot. Look out over the side yard chickens and horseshoe pits.

💯 % amazing! This place is an Oasis within Ramona. My boyfriend and I showed up around noon and Dawn made some fantastic recommendations for a beautiful afternoon hike. Coming back we enjoyed some wonderful music by the pool surrounded by unique art pieces. The camp side was tugged away in a private area which was surrounded by trees, cactuses. A truly hidden gem! 😊
super friendly, responsive & helpful hosts creating a unique glamping experience. large and peaceful property (with 2 & 4-legged friends) with opportunities for private and communal time. was there only one night with a small camper, but was able to feel far away both mentally and physically. would definitely recommend!
This place is awesome and quite the exhibit. The hosts were kind and very open with all of their property. We swam, bbq'd, played music. It was all very awesome. There is bloothooth so I recommend bringing headphones to any device and downloading a white noise app for when the rooster crows in the morning. It was hilarious to us but I probably will bring headphones next time.
Yes I must go back. It was perfect for a short get away.
Dawn's property was perfect for us to pitch a tent after a long day in San Diego. Lots of animals around, and they are all friendly and wonderful. It was also great to have access to a full bathroom with a hot shower.
Great host. You're basically camping in someone's yard. Be prepared to be woken up at 4am by the chickens or roosters. The dog and cat on the property were the highlights for me Aside having to bring your own fire pit, it was fine. We made the best of it.
