There's a Punkin growing at the Dome! Located at the North Gate, the Punkin Lounge is nestled in a trio of acacia trees with its own picnic table.
The Dome is about an hour from San Diego beaches and even closer to popular hiking at Mt. Woodson and Potato Chip Rock.

This is a really unique site. It's not so much out in the wilderness so hopefully that's not what you're expecting. But it is pretty much as described a little getaway in a really unique site. Chickens and roosters running around the yard a couple of great pups and a kitty. It was nice to have a wood supply for the fire pit. My girlfriend and I had a great stay there and it was just low maintanance relaxing weekend out of the city we were looking for.
We had a wonderful and restful weekend at Dome Asylum. It is a quiet and lovingly-maintained property perfect for escapes from the daily bustle of city life. Great hosts, a beautiful pool, friendly farmyard pets and interesting art around the property make this a truly special getaway. I look forward to my next stay!
Stayed in a tent site for a couple nights, was exactly as expected from the website/reviews! Had a great time lounging with some birders; there were a few other guests but everyone had their own spaces. The hosts were wonderful, the animals were friendly and chill, and the yard/gardens were fun to explore. (It seems like a typical country neighborhood, so if you are new to sleeping out in the "quiet" countryside, be prepared for a special kind of noisy! birds, dogs, trees, etc) There was some light rain, so the covered lounge space next to the pool came in handy. Very convenient location for accessing the Ramona airport and the fantastic Cedar Creek Falls hike.
