Dome Asylum is amazing! There is so much beauty in one place it's almost overwhelming but in the best way! There are so many beautiful plants around you all the time, it's in such a great part fo California!
This is an amazing space to camp! The host is warm and welcoming and the gardens and natural pool are beautiful. We felt very safe and comfortable staying here. Our group would highly recommend this space and host!
Dawn was a fantastic host to a such a unique camp location. After our prior Hipcamp reservation fell through we booked this little, hidden gem and arrived without any hiccups in finding the location. The space is home to other bookable camps so be advised you will most likely be sharing the property with other campers, but there is enough space between these sites to give you privacy. We camped here Memorial Day Weekend and while I was able to sleep soundly through the night, my boyfriend was awoken frequently by the sounds of parties happening throughout the neighborhood and the 30 barking dogs. Say hi to the turkeys in residence roaming the property, Salt and Pepper, and Dawn's lovable pup Bailey!
Relaxing, entertaining, memorable
Done Asylum is great! The layout is essentially a large backyard with art installations including a lot of fire. The property is maintained well, and all of the animals are friendly. I went snorkeling in the pond and had a great time for a couples night. The host, Dawn, is very nice and easy going, just like the vibe here. Highly recommend this listing!!
This spot was great! Dawn was a gracious host and they provided everything we needed. Having access to a shower was a huge plus, and overall the grounds were very well kept. Would definitely recommend!
Can't believe we posted 35 dollars!
We informed our host of our arrival time early in the day. There was no answer at the gate when we arrived and it took us 3 phone calls to be greeted. Once greeted we were told we drove to the wrong gate, but it's where the directions we were sent lead us. The camp site we were lead to was next to a leaking facet on in level ground. The spot was barely a few feet from the road. We also had to deal with two dogs begging while we prepared dinner. We feel ripped off from experience and recommend everyone stay far away!
