BEST CAMPING EVER!!!
Our stay at Diana's Descanso Camp was truly incredible! Connie made our trip exceptionally warm and welcoming. Immersing ourselves in history, picking apples and cozying up in the tipi made it an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend this place, and I'm already looking forward to returning.

Rustic, Beautiful and Peaceful
We loved camping on the Ranch! Ken and Diana are wonderful hosts and were very accommodating. We toured the historic barn, walked along the property, and apple orchard. Also, visited the stallions in their paddocks. Perfect getaway for peace a d quite and to be one with nature.

Sweetwater Tipi Camp
Descanso is a gem, with natural charm, nice people, views, waterfalls, hikes galore. The TIPI camp was such a nice fit in a wonderful environment with wonderful hosts! The extended camp has an unbelievable history, and it was a great touch to hear and see it in person. The tipi experience was great for the kids to see how native americans have lived for thousands of years, and best of all there was no cell coverage!

Sweetwater Tent/RV Camp
We had a great time camping at Diana's place. It s beautiful and peaceful, very close to cuyamaca state park where we wanted to spend time.
The hosts are friendly and welcoming.
It does get cold on certain nights (we had one night at 35deg, the other at 60deg) so come prepared.

Sweetwater Tipi Camp
What a gem! A friend and I wanted to get away from the city lights to watch the Perseid Meteor Shower & found Diana’s Hip Camp Site. We wanted to glamp and booked the tipi experience. Loved it! There’s 2 cots, lanterns for mood setting, solar sparkle lights, 2 chairs, a side table, and large smaller table inside. The floor of the tipi is gravel so it would be helpful to bring a picnic blanket if u want to walk around the tipi with no shoes on. On the property, you can play horse shoes, disc golf, walk to the creek, and admire the horses. They have a perfect open field for stargazing. Loved the site amenities: shared bathroom that included a toilet and shower, microwave, picnic tables, chairs, and easy trash disposal. There is a restaurant within a mile away that has live music at night depending on the day of the week. The descanso waterfall is about a 5mi drive away and the hike is roughly .9mi. Pretty easy hike for such a special swimming experience. The water was about 40° but it was refreshing to jump in after walking in 80 degree heat. Initially, we booked the site for the swimming hole access but as we kept exploring the property, it was like a gift that kept giving. The owners, Diana & Ken, are super sweet and helpful. They answered any of our questions and were very approachable. Ken gave us a tour of the ranch and shared with us it’s rich history. Had such a lovely stay and looking forward to coming back to enjoy a weekend at the ranch.
