Staying in this lovely 32 ft Alpenlite 5th wheel almost disqualifies you as a "camper" ...but you're certainly a Hipcamper !

Enjoy a large living area with kitchen, dining table, queen couch with pull out bed and a separate walk-around queen bedroom. Large shower, toilet, sink, mirrored closet. Windows galore help bring the beautiful outdoor setting indoors!

Adults only. Maximum 2 people.

Host provides: Basic kitchen utensils and amenities; refrigerator, stove, wine glasses and electric water pot for tea or coffee (provided). Nice bath and bed linens, soap, shampoo and lotion.

The adjacent large patio is a common area with a fish pond, built-in fireplace, a pizza oven, and a CHARCOAL BBQ (BYO charcoal). No outside wood may be brought in. We have  firewood for purchase at $7 per large bundle! Most like to have a warm wood fire in the patio fireplace during colder season (Nov-June). We are in the Cleveland National Forest. Check with host for fire allowance.

AT&T cell service ONLY. Wifi at hosts front patio 75 yds away.

Only a 45 minute drive from SDSU brings you to our 32 acre Clark Ranch, part of the historic Hulburd Grove Resort (oaks) from the early 1900's in Descanso, CA. Our barn use to be the old riding stables!  We are nestled in oaks, pines and cedars along with boulders where you can sit peacefully and turn your heart toward the sun!

Wake up to birdsong and our horses whinnying for attention. The Sweetwater River flows through this property during the wet season (Dec-June/July) and is a five minute stroll from your accomodation. Walking trails on our property offer easy hikes from 15-45 minutes. Or, sit under a shady oak for a read n nap...

Nights are usually cold in winter and clear; the stars will humble you with their symphony of sparkle!   See THE MILKY WAY and catch a SHOOTING STAR !

Descanso means "Place of Rest".  And that is what your soul begins to feel as you meander through our Cuyamaca Mountains community with NO stoplights! There is a nearby "Perkins Store, Mexican food restaurant for sit-in or take-out and a full service country restaurant, "The Descanso Junction".

Hike the trails on our property or hike to nearby trailheads. You can pick up the California Riding and Hiking Trail just up the road for 2, 3 and 4 hour hikes.

We're on the edge of the 25k acre Cuyamaca Rancho State Park where premier riding and hiking abound! Bring your mountain bike or horses to access nearby trails. If you enjoy light or serious hiking, it's all here. Host can shuttle you to points as well. Check out the "Extras" to book any of these on line.
