Thanks Judy for saving my life during the Spring break, when all the campgrounds were full! The place is very nice, quite and isolated. If you are looking for some privacy, this is it. Not a 5 stars hotel, of course, but it has all the necessary - a platform for a tent or for laying down under the sun, mountains for short hiking, a toilet, and a stone labyrinth for meditation. I was staying there for almost a week, and can say honestly, that was the most relaxing and quite time in my entire life. Was worth it definitely.
Cute little camp & beautiful sunset
This place is great. The directions she provided were easy to follow, I would recommend getting there before dark for the first time because I imagine it would be a little more difficult to find in the dark. There’s a water hook up that makes it easy to clean your dishes, however it isn’t for drinking so be sure to bring plenty of your own drinking water, but the town of Joshua Tree has plenty of amenities too. The toilet works perfectly and provides a great view for your morning poo. After dealing with the crowds in the Joshua Tree Park, it was really nice going back to our camp site that only had two other couples staying there. It was a beautiful place to watch the sunset and very close to town and the park. We loved it here and were sad to have to leave
Host’s directions were slightly confusing but worked well enough. I just typed in the address on Google Maps and found it way more easily. The site was as expected. Felt safe and loved the hike up the mountain right next to the property to watch the sunset! The trash can was overflowing but she asked that we pack out our trash anyway. Really cool spot not far from JT!
Close to w entrance intojoshua tree
Very convenient to West entrance to Joshua Tree. Overall, the site was clean and private, and night views were beautiful. The host wasn't on site. Negatives: at least 2 of the tent platforms were too uneven to sleep on, the solar shower bag was hanging on the shaded stall, so no hot water. And the road getting in is washboardy sand. Positives: the desert compound is fully fenced, so we were able to play outside with our dog at sunset, and there was a clean toilet and water for washing dishes.
