As I drove the dirt road to Desert Daisy I was so focused on getting to the right address that I didn't notice the beautiful views that awaited me. Higher in elevation than most of the town of Joshua Tree, Desert Daisy overlooks the wide valley and the mountains of Joshua Tree National Park. Host Judy constructed new tent platforms with fire rings around the edges of a rock labyrinth. Also available for rent on the property is Georgie, a fully furnished camper. The sunset views are spectacular. I built a fire and watched the lights of Joshua Tree flicker to life in the distance. In the morning I walked the labyrinth at sunrise before hiking up the hill behind the campsites for a birds eye view. Desert Daisy is a cool, eclectic property.

The tent platforms have plenty of room for a tent, plus a chair or two.The property backs up to BLM land, so there's plenty of room to explore.Sunset and a tall pour of whiskey.Desert Daisy is on Copper Mountain, which you can hike up right from the campsite.

I am hesitant to write this review because part of me would like to keep this secret to myself. This is a great place to camp. Beautiful sky, mountains and scenery in a very private spot close to Joshua Tree. There are 3 nice tent platforms each with a fire pit. There is also a water tank, picnic table and a composting toilet. The site is nestled at the base of a rocky ridge and if you climb to it's highest point, there is an awesome fire pit with 360 degree views of the valley. The host, Judy, is awesome. We stayed here because we could not find a campsite inside the park, but next time I will not waste my time looking for campsites inside the park.

Thank you so much Greg for staying at Desert Daisy and enjoying your time there with your friends and family. Your group was the perfect size and personality mix for the campsite and I'm so happy you were able to have a fabulous and memorable weekend and New Year's Eve. Best wishes for 2018 and I look forward to having you back at Desert Daisy.

Judy was very accommodating and the space was very nice. There is a nice little hike behind the camping space that gives a great 360 degree view of the area. Very close to Joshua Tree as well. We would definitely book again.

Very nice place, secluded, clean and quiet. Stars looked amazing at night! It’s close to the JT park. I wish I would’ve arrived at daylight for setting up the shower. Communicating with Host was vey efficient during my stay.
I would stay there again!

Platform #2/entire campsite is amazing. Great communication from Judy! Not far from JT entrance...and amazing desert sky that we all head out there for!;) I'd return for sure!

We had an amazing time at Judy's camp site.

Pros: Judy and her nephew are helpful, prompt and friendly. They provide more than enough amenities to make roughing it a little easier. We didn't get a chance to hike to the top where they have a fire pit but we will definitely be rebooking.

Cons: None that come to mind.

Thank you Judy!

Great views, quiet space and close to Joshua tree. There was a bathroom, water, and a nice platform so you don't have to sleep on rocks. There are multiple campsites which I was not expecting but they were far enough apart to not feel crowded.

We came during the summer and there was no water available. The site is in the middle of a desert. We found the site inadequate and chose to stay in a motel instead. Would not book again.

Hi Samantha - apologies for my delay responding to your review, and thank you for your heartfelt notes. I just learned about it 2 days ago. SORRY you had a sad experience! You had texted me asking about water and I replied there are usually 2.5 gallon containers in the outhouse area. I didnt hear back from you so assumed you found water. I always keep extra drinking water at hand and could have told you where my private stash is. And you asked about other campers and I let you know Desert Daisy was yours to enjoy for the night. Was that a challenge for you? I WOULD LOVE TO HOST YOU AGAIN - free of charge for a night or two. Just let me know when and I will plan to be there to meet you in person. My goal is to keep all my hipcampers happy, and that all love the natural energy of the desert.
