Great stay, exactly how I expected it. The platform helped against the wind a bit. The porta potty was clean! Every campsite looked like it had its own fire pit. Communal area was clean, had extra tables and chairs and even extra coal. Hiked up the hill in the morning and got great views. Would definitely consider coming back!

Another trip to Desert Daisy, this time reserved “Big 6” tent platform. Nice to have all that space to stretch out and have our own little gathering area when we wanted. Parking was next to the platform making unloading and loading easy. Gets windy in the area at night so make sure your tent is staked or anchored. Camp host Judy provided anchors for our platform.

The stars and Milky Way views on Saturday night were outstanding! And got to see “Chuck” the chuckwalla who lives just outside the camp fence.

It is clear that Judy works so hard to make sure her guests have a good time!! We loved camping here- it was great to be “roughing it” a little and getting to see the desert stars, etc, but still having amenities. Judy even supplies tent hooks and sandbags, a fire pit, solar shower - pretty much everything you need for a comfortable camping experience! The community space is so welcoming and such a good idea, it really fosters connection and meeting new people! (With social distancing of course). We loved being so close to Joshua tree- and the sunset over the mountains was incredible. 10/10 recommend!!!!!

This was a cute little campsite! My friends and I enjoyed staying here. Unfortunately for us, we came to stargaze, and a fire just so happened to occur that day so we were unable to see anything and woke up covered in ash the next day. We really hope to return sometime in the future though to see the stars.

Judy was wonderful and very quick to respond whenever I had any questions or asked for recommendations. The directions were clear and I was able to find the site, even when it was starting to get dark. We had everything we needed with this site--a fire pit, clean toilet, sink, and tent anchors! The wooden platform was also nice because we didn't have to worry about sleeping over rocks or bugs. Although it was windy, Judy provided tent anchors which helped against the wind.

Our closest neighbor was a few sites down, so we definitely felt safe! We also had the entire community area to ourselves which was nice because we used part of the area to cook. We brought our own firewood, but bundles are available to purchase from her neighbor for $5, and his place was only 6 mins away.

Overall, I would recommend this place and would love to return another time to see the stars!

Judy is an amazing host. She communicated with us before our stay to make sure we had everything we needed in regards to directions, property access, and even firewood. The property has a fantastic setting right at the base of Copper Mountain. There are great facilities including running water, solar shower, bbq, and cooking utensils. Platform 6 is the best it very large and able to fit our entire group.

I never review, but thought I'd make an exeption.

We had an amazing time. The perfect place for a 2 day getaway. The extra tables came in handy, the facilities were clean and all in working order.
Great location for visiting Joshua Tree, and for amazing views of sunset. We had a great time.
Judy and her partner, were freindly and also seem really invested in their business, and we're actively maintaining and improving their site while we're there.

Also bring for shade for the daytime if the forecast is hot, and plenty of lights.

We would definitely stay again !

This has become my favorite camping site in the area. Easy to book, pleasant to hang out and do nothing, or see local sights & JTree.
