Pros:
The host was very nice. There is a permanent hipcamper who lives in an RV very close to the campsites, and he was also very friendly.
The pool was refreshing.
There are bathrooms with flush toilets and there’s also an outdoor shower, which is always nice at a campsite.

Cons:
The campsites were not nearly as private as they looked in the photos. The reason we use Hipcamp is because you can usually get more privacy on someone’s private land. The campsites were very close to each other, and very close to the RV. They were blasting techno out of the RV, so instead of falling asleep to the quiet of the desert, we had to fall asleep to techno. We go camping to get peace and quiet (and we do it at Hipcamps as opposed to state parks for this reason).
There are 2 pools pictured in the photos- an above ground pool, and then a small pool built into the land surrounded by rocks. The smaller pool was part of the permanent Hipcamp and not available for us to use, which I felt was deceptive. One of the reasons I chose this Hipcamp was because it had 2 pools and would be easier to socially distance, but that was not the case. I think that should be clarified to people looking to book.

Darin is an amazing host - very welcoming and accommodating. But he also knows to give you space. Absolutely stunning sunrises and sunsets. The area is great, and they're doing a great job of building it out and making it even more comfortable for guests. Clean bathroom. I didn't use the shower, but I wish I would have. 5min drive from restaurants and gas. 15min drive from grocery stores. Will definitely stay here again!
