Enjoy the peaceful countryside in a charming 1964 Little Dipper vintage camper tucked away in a small canyon on a 40-acre working farm. The camper is refurbished with lovely aromatic cedar woodwork, a handmade dining table and comfortable queen bed. Lots of windows and colors make for an airy and bright space. It is powered entirely with solar for LED lighting, colorful accent lights, and outlets. Disconnect and enjoy the campfire, stars, and fresh air. Only 5 min from town.
Hike the hill behind the farm for a stunning panoramic view of the natural Lompoc Valley. Enjoy a walk around the farm to view the garden and animals (please do not touch the animals without assistance.) Fire pit with wood available for $5 a bundle. We also have ice available for $7 a bag. Trash, cleaning supplies, and basic kitchen supplies are available.
There is an abundance of great hiking trails and bike routes here on the Central Coast. A few beaches are very close, as well as a hot spring. The area around us is known for great wine. There is a location in Lompoc called the Wine Ghetto which is a collection of wineries, tasting rooms, and wine cellars from vineyards in the Santa Rita Hills. There is a great local coffee shop in town for WIfi as well. A guide to the local area is provided in the camper for suggestions on restaurants, bars, local attractions and activities.
No Wi-fi available. Limited cell phone service. We are a working farm. Every day at 8:00 work begins on the farm, and although we do not often use heavy equipment and tractors, there are cars coming on going as well as dogs barking. Work begins between 9:30 and 10:00am on the weekends. Showers are available that are shared with the work stay guests. Typical busy time for the showers are between 3pm and 5pm. There is an indoor and outdoor shower. The outdoor shower is great for drinking a beer while showering. We can provide water to the camper for washing dishes and cleaning, but it is not suitable for drinking, and there is only a 9 gallon tank so conservation is a must. The camper does not have AC, or a refrigerator. There is a solar system in place to charge devices and to have lighting, but won't support hair dryers, straighteners, power tools, or any other high draws over 12v.

The vibe at Restored Vintage Camper
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
Dare 2 Dream farms is an amazing property, run by even greater people! The property itself was located just outside of town and was a beautiful drive on backroads lined with Eucalyptus trees. The camper is located at the heart of the farm with a beautiful garden view. The camper was decorated very cute and extremely cozy with a huge bed and so many blankets. Jermey was a great host who stocked up the camper with all the camping essentials you may need. There were paper towels and bug spray, headlamps and mugs, the detail and thought put into the camper made it feel like home. Jermey even came by and started a fire for us and shared his newest dream for the farm. I would highly recommend a weekend getaway and treating yourself to this cozy camper! I will totally be back to visit Jermey and see the new upgrades to the farm, it is just going to keep getting better!
Wow! I wasn't sure what I was expecting, but Dare 2 Dream and the vintage camper definitely exceeded all expectations. The farm itself is clearly well-maintained and well-loved, with a little farm stand stocked with veggies and herbs, and friendly staff coming and going, taking care of the gardens and the animals. Jeremy, the host, was extremely responsive and so nice. We arrived the day after a wedding which they had just catered a 100% farm to table meal for, and it sounded amazing. What a great space. So many chickens!
It's in a canyon, so we were unlucky with a bit of fog and clouds settling in, but the camper made our stay incredibly cozy and wonderful. On the outside, the camper looks humble and practical, and on the inside, it has all of the creature comforts of home, so thoughtfully organized and packed neatly into a small little thing. It's been redone in gorgeous wood paneling (smells amazing), and Jeremy clearly put a lot of work into decorating and stocking it to make it homey and charming. There's no running water, but he provided a jug, and there is a sink, as well as a small stove, a table with benches, and a super comfortable bed. There were even outlets! And plenty of lighting. The best surprise was finding the speakers lining the camper walls that you can just connect your phone to.
Outside, there's a charcoal grill and a wood-burning chimenea, picnic table, and two gravity chairs for max relaxation. He even provided wood, kindling, and paper for us! Easiest fire to get going, ever. Bathroom is a porta-potty very close by, and an outdoor shower on the other side of the barn. There's another bookable site on the same dirt road (the airstream), so you can hear your neighbors and see them hanging out at their fire, but it's definitely far enough away that you feel like you have privacy. Our neighbors were really sweet too!
It was fun to explore the grounds; there are a few trails that loop around, and we heard that the beach is a 7 mile run away (probably a really quick drive). Plus, there were two sweet dogs that came by and hung out with us the whole time. Can't go wrong. Give them a visit!
We had an amazing experience staying in the camper at Dare to Dreams Farm. The camper itself was beautiful. It had wood detail, it was decorated very thoughtfully, and had all the essentials we needed to cook/eat/sleep. Even though the camper itself is decently small, the space was so well managed that once you stepped inside, you felt like you had all the room in the world. The bed was SO comfortable, and if you bring your own aux cord there is surround sound music that we listened to all night.
Jermey the host greeted us upon our arrival, and ensured we had everything we needed. He was an awesome host with an awesome farm! You can walk through the garden, say hi to the goats and chickens, and even purchase cheese/milk/fruits/veggies from their farm stand towards the entrance!
All around a fun getaway weekend, would highly recommend!
We had an enjoyable time at the farm, unfortunately too short. The cozy vintage camper provides everything you need, from a very comfortable bed to a kitchen with the necessary cooking supplies. Jermey also provided a helpful guide with recommendations. But it's also already enough to just stay on the farm and relax in one of the comfortable chairs in front of the camper.
We recommend staying at the vintage camper for a getaway.
This place is a great deal.
There were a couple things that could have been better (running water in the trailer didn't work for instance) but if you're going there, odds are that you're not looking for a 5 star service.
You get to hang in a rural area while being close to town and a few cool places. The fire pit right outside the trailer is the perfect hang out spot, and there's a bunch of super friendly dogs who come say hi from time to time.
The location hooked us up with fresh eggs, which we cooked on the camper's stove. Awesome stay!
