This is a flat space located in a beautiful little grove of eucalyptus and oak trees. Dare 2 Dream Farms is a working 40 acre farm with chickens, ducks, goats, dogs and work stay guests from all over the world. The camp area is set back about 1/2 mile from the working areas of the farm so any noise made by the farm should be hard to hear. The campsite has well water and power hookups. Every day at 8:00 work begins on the farm. Noise may include the workshop where we build coops, off-road vehicles and tractors, cars, dogs, and people. You are free to wander around the farm, check out our organic garden and our livestock. In addition, there is an abundance of great hiking trails and bike routes here on the Central Coast. A few beaches are very close, as well as a hot spring. The area around us is known for great wine. There is a location in Lompoc called the Wine Ghetto which is a collection of wineries, tasting rooms, and wine cellars from vineyards in the Santa Rita Hills. There is a great local coffee shop in town for WIfi as well.
Showers are available that are shared with the work stay guests. Typical busy time for the showers are between 3pm and 5pm. There is an indoor and outdoor shower. The outdoor shower is great for drinking a beer while showering.
In addition we also allow you to harvest fresh produce from our garden and can pay by trust system. Farm fresh eggs are available for sale as well.
We also have ice available for $7 a bag.

The vibe at Dare 2 Dream Farms Wooded Camp
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
We had a great stay at Dare 2 Dream. The site is a cleared patch under a beautiful spreading oak at the end of a quiet dead end street in a beautiful eucalyptus grove. Our hosts were also incredibly welcoming and accommodating.
Dare 2 Dream farms is an amazing farm managed by incredibly kind and helpful people. The camp site itself is in a secluded part of the property, where you have enough space for privacy but do not have to walk far to use the restroom or shower that you have access to. I can't wait until my next opportunity to stay at this beautifully welcoming place!
Camp was true to description, it was on a small farm in a canyon. The campsite itself just off the road, fenced in and wooded. We had a very relaxing three days here. Bathrooms and showers aren't too far away and though you'll be sharing them with WWOOF'ers, everybody was super friendly and helpful. Some things to be aware of: the weather consistently dropped down to mid-50's at night, even in August, so dress warmly and bring good sleeping bags. There are chickens not too far away from camp and you'll be able to hear them squawking and crowing even at night in case that's something that might bother you. In my case, I didn't mind waking up to rooster's crowing as I'm an early sleeper, but YMMV. Beach six miles away was closed for the season and closest one was 45 minute drive, although it was very nice and un-crowded. Overall, beautiful location and very friendly hosts. Would camp there again!
Quiet spot in a cool area with great and responsive hosts! Cozy location under some beautiful trees. It was colder than expected in August so bring the extra layer if you're unsure about it. In talking with Dave it sounds like there are some great upgrades in the works (lights, a faucet etc) which will make this spot awesome.
we camped for one night and toured the farm the following day. It was a great little camp spot - the have power and running well water for washing dishes etc. we got to listen to the sounds of nature and even saw a few black tail deer a few yards from camp. Very cool chicken farm. Our two kids loved it!
A seclude spot with more amenities being added all the time. It is just off the road (although the end of a track that no one goes on) and on the edge of a military base which is fenced off, so it's not the most beautiful spot.
