Tiny House Retreat in Mount Laguna!
Recommeded!
There was a small hiccup when we arrived as the site was not ready. But these things happen and Mark, in maintenance, stepped up and took care of any issues immediately. The host was communicative and reasonable with this issue as well.
It is called a "Tiny House" for a reason. It is tiny, but perfect for a night or two by the fire and a place to lay your head.
The hot water didn't seem to work in the shower, but I did bring this to the hosts' attention so it should only be a one time issue. I highly recommend it and my friends and I will certainly be back!

Tiny House Retreat in Mount Laguna!
Tiny cabin, big outdoors!
The Tiny cabin was in an incredible area filled with hiking, outdoor activities and about a 25 minute drive to Julian. The cabin was super cute! If you are planning to do alot of outdoor activities, and campfire time this is a great place. It is not for lounging around inside the cabin. The space is tiny, hence its name...there were 2 of us and it worked, but I cant imagine more than that. And even though it is dog friendly, the space is so limited Im glad I didn't bring my lab. The top bed is a full with head room, the 2nd is a twin, enough room to almost sit up(Im 5'8"), the lower bed is what looked like a shortened twin- maybe good for a child- no head room. the basic linens are supplied- if your going in colder months bring an extra warm blanket. A small space heater is provided. There is limited flatware and dishes provided. If your going to make breakfast, u might want to bring spatulas/tongs. The fire pit was great with endless stars to look at. Everyone in the block was super nice. The restaurant had great food and the staff was great! We asked Seo for directions for a great hike that led up to the Pacific Crest trail!

Tiny House Retreat in Mount Laguna!
We Love Tiny House Block
What an amazing place! What Jon & Melissa have created in Mount Laguna is perfect. It's a simple, peaceful retreat in the Laguna Mountains - one hour from the beach in San Diego. I hope they expand to Palomar, Julian, and the other mountain towns here in SD - because what they've created is too great not to.
The unique nature of each house makes you want to come back to stay at a different place each time. We stayed in Crystal Zen. Simple, and fun - 3 beds, deck & a rooftop.
We'be been camping at Mt Laguna forever, and Tiy House Block is a refreshing alternative to the crowded campgrounds & dated cabins.
Seo was our host for the weekend, and he went out of his way to ensure a great stay for everyone that was visiting that weekend. He also hosted a bonfire Sat night where everyone had a great time meeting other guests, tellings stories, and more.
Bottom line, we napped in hammocks, stargazed, and had such a great time for so little cost, we plan to come back once month. Thx Seo & Jon!

Best place to stay in Mount Laguna!
Jon's Tiny House in Mount Laguna is the perfect get away! We live in San Diego and wanted to get out the June gloom and hustle and bustle, so we decided to spend 1 night in the mountains. Mt. Laguna is perfect for anyone in San Diego County as it is only a quick 1 hour drive. We were greeted at the house in a very cute RV park that is being converted into the coolest little community of tiny homes. Everyone was really friendly and the house was perfect for a step up from tent camping, with WIFI, a front porch, couch, full kitchen, shower and toliet, 3 beds and a roof top deck to watch the sunset and star gaze on! Everyone in the community park got together for a bonfire, smores and music when it got dark, and we all introduced ourselves and chatted for a while. It was the icing on the cake for us and made us feel so welcomed and it was great making new friends. On top of it all, the house and community park is dog friendly!!! We will definitely be back soon. Thanks again Jon for having us!!!! Nicole and Michael :)
