Experience the desert wilderness in comfort. This backcountry Joshua Tree 5-acre site features a restored Jackrabbit Homestead Cabin, originally built in the 1950's, now a solar-powered cabin bunkhouse, with outdoor kitchen, hot water shower, firepit & grill nearby. Enjoy panoramic views of the desert, beneath a starry nighttime sky.

Camp Cabin
Loved our stay at Camp Cabin. We are used to driving on dirt roads in Joshua Tree so it was easy for us, but should be noted for those new to the bumpy experience. Cabin has a double bed topped with a single bunk with tons of blankets, pillows and extra sleeping bags for your use. Kitchen is stellar, stocked with plates, bowls, cups, pans and flatware. The two-burner stove is super easy to use - opted for it over our own Coleman. Cots are perfect for stargazing by the campfire. Bathroom and a heated shower make it a nice cross between glamping and staying in a cabin. Only note would be that all lights are solar powered so you may want to bring headlamps for night trips to the bathroom :) Definitely recommend.

Camp Cabin
A perfect place to stay. The location is wonderful- peaceful and quiet with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The hot shower is excellent, the composting toilet convinced us to make the switch, the kitchen was fun to cook in, and the cabin was the perfect place to sleep, hang out during the cold nights, and store our stuff. We stayed during pretty cold and occasionally windy weather (low 30s at night, low 50s during the day) and it was just fine- we were comfortable and cozy. Close to everything you'd ever need and the park; Indian Cove and the climbing there is also really close. We will be back!
