I moved out to the desert with my wife and our dogs, after climbing here often, and we found land that had been owned by a really lovely and adventuresome and nonconformist couple and cultivated by them over the decades. Sunfair Heights is rural, wide open, and sparsely populated, which is what drew us out here. There are massive views of the mountains to the east and west and of the park to the south. The night sky out here can't be done justice, you just have to see it. Stunning dramatic sunsets and sunrises, shooting stars, and a sense of peace and quiet that is hard to find.

We love the Avion

Staying in Neil's Avion is such a unique and special experience. The interior is cozy, clean, and comfortable, with AC for hot days and heating for cool ones. I've stayed here twice now and both times have been unforgettable. The hot tub is pristine and such a nice addition. Highly recommend!

I loved this spot! Super super helpful hosts. The location is beautiful and the hot tub is a wonderful touch. Loved hanging out in the kitchen reading in the mornings :)

So cosy it's almost unreal!

What a wonderful experience! We only had one night, but enjoyed our stay a lot nonetheless. The camper is beautiful and super cosy. Neil and Jardine really have a great sense for striking a balance between keeping the original feel of the place and offering you everything you need for your convenience. There's plenty of stuff for cooking and even fresh coffee beans for that morning brew. Neil was super responsive and welcoming and even though him and Jardine live next door, we felt like we had complete privacy. So thank you, Neil & Jardine!

Just book it! This place was an amazing little desert oasis. Perfect amount of privacy without feeling too secluded. The sunsets and sunrises were magical! The airstream was so cute and retro with all the modern amenities. It was cozy, comfy and I could never get tired of gazing at the star-filled sky from the hot tub! Neil was an amazing host and was great about responding to messages. He truly went above and beyond to ensure our trip was perfect.

The experience was wonderful! We loved the neatly appointed extremely cute van! Watching the stars from the hot tub outside in the cold was an unforgettable experience! The van itself was self sufficient with a perfectly functional kitchen and great for the weekend! They are superhosts!!
