I will be SELLING MY ROADRUNNER at the end of the season so check out my listing on the VINTAGE CAMPER TRAILERS website. Camp along the banks of Bates Creek under the canopy of the redwoods and stay warm by a propane powered firepit during these cold winter mornings and evenings. Must be 12 or older to camp at our property. Your site is just 1 mile to Land of Medicine Buddha Retreat Center which adjoins the Forest of Nisene Marks by foot trails. Enjoy a leisurely break from your outdoor activities at Soquel Vineyards tasting room and patio just 2 1/2 miles up the road. If you're in the mood for a scrumptious dinner prepared by Chef Brad, head on over to 'Home' on Main Street just 1 and a half miles down the road or cross the street for a glass of wine at Vino Cruz. Cross over Soquel Drive and continue down Main Street where you'll be greeted by Michael's on Main Restaurant and Tap Room, BeerThirty outdoor beer garden and Carpo's Restaurant which is host to the best salad bar, tri-tip sandwich and award winning pies. Coastal adventures await you just 2 and 1/2 miles to the beaches in Capitola Village...another mile from there to the 'Hook' surf spot...a short walk from there along the cliffs to famed surf spot and home of Jack O'Neil (RIP) Pleasure Point and the 'Barrel Burrito' at the Point Market, a local favorite. When you're done exploring all that our coastal communities have to offer, come back to your sweet spot along the banks of Bates Creek and take in the wonderful sounds of nature. Bring your own bedroll, pillow, towels and cooking equipment as well as flashlights and lanterns as this is 'camping' so no electricity. If you forget something, I'm sure we'll be able to accomodate you. This camp is in a rural/residential neighborhood, so you will see homes across the street. This is a one lane road with a 15 mph speed posted and no exit as it ends at the Land of Medicine Buddha...you will hear the cars as they drive by. :-)

Places to see near Christie K.’s Land
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
We had such a wonderful stay at Christie's beautiful place! Her land is truly a hidden gem. The crystal clear creek surrounded by stunning redwoods is so fun to explore. We could have spent our whole evening just sitting down there watching the fish swim and the light filter through the trees. Christie's vintage camper was so beautiful and a perfect cozy place to stay for the evening. We loved exploring Santa Cruz the following day as well.
This vintage camper is adorable, and Christie goes above and beyond making sure the campers feel comfortable and private. Whilst the camper is quite close to the road, a few short steps down the track to the creek provides immediate isolation from noise and traffic - definitely worth following the sun down the bank with a chair and a book in the morning! Lovely experience.
We loved this special trip place!
We had a great time visiting Christie’s RV at Babbling Bate’s Creek! My traveling companion and I agree that it is a beautiful, calming place, great for connecting with nature, reducing stress and cooling the mind. Christie is a gem and our aqua marine queen!
Vintage glamping/neat getaway
Unique experience for a very fair price! My sister and I stayed two nights and just loved being able to sip coffee surrounded by trees and listening to the babble of the creek without having to pay a fortune at a B&B or resort.
Christine provides a really neat Glamping experience which despite being on a parcel of land near the road, actually felt more private, quiet and special than if we'd actually gone to a campground.
Vintage camper felt like we'd traveled back in time and made our stay feel unique and Christine was a friendly, caring host.
What a perfect weeke of out of the city. 10 mins away from civilization but felt like being in our own hideaway. We also discovered Capitola which was a perfect place to get the whole other California vibe.
Would def recommend
Loved our vacay.
We are grateful to Christie for having us in her cute little rv camp set up. We explored the forests and nearby beaches while there. We bought a week pass to a day spa for hot showers which made the trip perfect. We liked that it wasn’t total wilderness. Having access to stores and restaurants was a nice perk.
Perfect stay in a quaint trailer
Christie was so wonderful, friendly and caring. The site was wonderful and the location was perfect, very close to so many things. Highly recommend visiting ‘Land of the Medicine Buddha’ for a hike and visit to the gift shop.
We slept so well in the trailer. I would recommend bringing a full size sleeping mat if you have 2 people, you will sleep like a baby!
Lots of good food and coffee close by. We will definitely be back!
This classic camper was cozy - bed was fine and everything was very clean. Christie was very friendly and helpful. Site was near the street, but very quiet for sleeping, with a redwood forest as a background. Location of the outdoor toilet was not accessible enough for us, but she provided a portable "Loo" that was a good alternative.
