LOOK NO FURTHER MY FELLOW CAMPERS!! I wanted to find a place where it wasn’t first come first serve with a beautiful view, relaxing and fun.. Little did I know I was about to have all that plus the best camping experience of my life! From the minute I messaged with Chris (the land owner ) I knew right away that this was going to be an amazing experience! You aren’t going to find a better host! The site Tent Camping under the stars was perfection. Between the stars, the Mountain View, the welcome basket, hiking, the beauty of it all and the host, this place should get 6 out of five stars!!

Host was great and greeted us as soon as we arrived and showed us some of the property. We were only the 3rd campers they've had, but as they are adding additional sites can tell they plan on more. They also provided some free firewood for our use and had a nice stock if we needed to purchase more.

Campsites are very basic with just a firepit w/ grill, table, and a pop up outhouse. But that is exactly what we were expecting and didn't need more. Perfect place for some quiet and solitude as your only other company will be some quail nearby and the coyotes howling at night.

For entertainment you can explore the open desert the land adjourns and our host mentioned some hiking and an old mine, but we didn't have time.

Added note, the other sites here are spread out and even though we were the only campers, if there were more people here we wouldn't notice.

This is a must-stay for anyone looking to be in a beautiful valley accompanied by leave and solitude. Amazing space to just be at home in nature and the hosts are incredibly welcoming, making it feel like you’re invited into someone’s home and their backyard is a paradise all in itself.

I’m hesitant to post this review because I wish we could just keep this site to ourselves. But Chris is such a gracious host who greats guests to her wonderful property with a bottle of wine. The two current sites are well spaced offering plenty of privacy and nestled amongst juniper trees and scurrying quail with great views of the nearby mountains of the Los Padres Nat’l Forest, which just happened to get a dusting of snow before we arrived. We explored the adjacent BLM land hiked up a small canyon to a lovely flat, where we enjoyed a nice picnic. The site is basic with a fire pit, picnic table and trash can, which is just the way we like it. A nearby potty is just a short walk away. We can’t wait to visit again, perhaps in the spring the take advantage of the wild flower blooms. The site is also a short drive to the Carrizo Plain, which makes a great day trip. Five stars!!’

What a fantastic camping experience! Chris is super friendly and inviting and made us feel comfortable on her land immediately. We actually went for New Years Eve and New year's day and loved being on her land. She has two camping sites and we barely new the other site was occupied. It felt very private in our spot (site #1). Her ranch is right next to a dried up river bed which is also next to open BLM / Forest land.
We had fun just walking around her property with our pup but we also took our 4 wheel drive out to the river bed and found some small dirt roads to go explore on too. Pretty cool hearing the cayotes at night.

Chris...we will be back!
