The vibe at Two Wives
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
The campsite was tucked in the valley amongst trees and next to the creek. It was away from all the wind up top, but also from the portable bathrooms. You checkin at the main house, where there are 24/7 bathrooms and showers available. There's also tons of horse, goats, pigs, and the friendliest dogs! From then you drive around the hills and park by the last set of Porta potty's. The campsite is a 5-10 minute hike downhill. Watch out for the horse crap along the way down! Our site was about 150ft from the other one, but still private. They provided a kayak and a paddle board for the site too! No life vests, but the water is very shallow so no need to worry. Also, I was surprised I didn't see any mosquitos especially because the site is literally next to the water. Just beach flies and occasional wasp as we were cooking. The only complaint I had was that the water was quite murky, more than I expected. I thought would be able to go tubbing like how I normally would at a lake or by Russian river. However, it didn't stop me from kayaking! I really liked camping here and would do it again once a year at least!
