We showed up to a friendly welcome and were directed to our own little private corner of the farm. Once we set up our small trailer we found it a perfect hopping-point for exploring the area. The coast is less than an hour away (great tidepooling, birdwatching or seal-sighting on the coastal trails). There are wineries all along the roads near here and restaurants and services are nearby in Paso. The site is really private and allows for exquisite stargazing at night! It was beautiful waking up to the sound of sheep off in the hills... and thankfully no early morning rooster calls! No farm smells at all, in fact, the air was lightly scented of apples from the nearby orchard! I definitely want to visit again!!

The coastline is less than an hour away, visiting seals and tide pools are just a few of the day trips that make this a perfect hopping point for a day of exploring (without the crowds of campgrounds)Private corner of the farm that we set up in. Apple orchard nearby gives lightly apple-scented air. Stargazing was perfect here!Pick up a bottle of wine at one of the neighboring wineries and enjoy the peaceful sounds of the night!

A lovely spot on the farm was such a nice surprise. Upon arrival, our host Catherine greeted us and showed us to our campsite. It was secluded and quiet, away from other guests and surrounded by apple trees. I only wished the bathroom was closer.

My favorite part of our stay was the farm tour where we were able to meet the animals and pick fresh tomatoes. Catherine shared her future plans for the farm and now we can’t wait to return next Spring or Summer. We left Windrose farm refreshed and with a box of fresh tomatoes, apples and onions to bring home. Thank you for a complete farm experience!

It was a beautiful and private place to camp. Great for watching the sunset and stargazing. The tent site is just that, no amenities except for potable water and a porta-potty, so make sure to bring a camping stove or food that doesn't need to be warmed up. Catherine and her family were wonderful hosts. I got the produce box. It wasn't very big but the apples and veggies were tasty. I'm not much of a camper but enjoyed our stay and it made me want to do more camping.
