Come camp on our working organic veggie farm close to darling downtown Chico and near the Sacramento River. There are numerous activities close by, such as hiking Monkey Face or Table Mountain, playing in the creek that runs through our city, float the river, visit the farmer's market, biking, fishing and so much more.

We have two sites under a canopy of walnut trees with gorgeous views of our lush organic farm. Stargazing is spectacular at night. There is no electricity at the site. An outhouse and hand-washing sink are about 100 yards from the campsite, as well as potable well water. I suggest bringing drinking water, as our well water is pretty hard, but great for washing dishes, etc. You will find a box of our organic veggies at your site when you arrive.

Each site has a fire pit for your campfire. Since we live in California, sometimes a burn ban is in effect or it is too windy to safely have a campfire. In that case, they would not be permitted. In general, we welcome them.

We produce more than 25 varieties of veggies for our community here in Chico. We do CSA as well as the farmer's markets and love the work we do.  I know you'll really enjoy the magic of our farm.

When you pull into the property, just follow the red Hipcamp signs down to your site. On your picnic table is a binder containing property rules, and some helpful local information for your vacation. There is no need to check in when you arrive, just set up shop, and enjoy yourself!

Cassie was super sweet and her farm was awesome. We were under some nice and shady trees that allowed for a fresh area to put our tents and hang out when it was too hot during the day. Location was not too far from the river where were able to go and swim during the day. Awesome experience!

Peaceful, earthy farm. The two sites are right next to the lovely organic farm and situated for maximum shade. It was pretty hot for our summer stay but unlike other summer camping: no mosquitoes! The portapotty was well maintained and the box of organic produce was a nice surprise. There was also a nice map which points out a few nice spots along the river, which is just a few minutes drive.

A couple of things to be aware of: the two sites are close to each other: perfect for a bigger group. The neighborhood is super walkable and pretty, but it’s a hike to the river by foot and better accessed for most by car.

All in all a great stay. Thanks to the hosts!

We had a wonderful time staying at Cassie's farm. The produce is her CSA box was delicious, and we had a great time wandering around the farm.

It felt incredibly private and so peaceful. Though it was hot, the Walnut trees kept our camp shady and pleasant. Cassie has great recommendations for finding relative solitude by the river, which we greatly appreciated during COVID. And I don't really understand this, but we didn't run into one mosquito while at the farm.

This was such a beautiful, peaceful spot to camp. It was a safe spot to get away during these trying times. The CSA box at our site upon arrival was an extra bonus, we loved all the fresh fruits, and veggies. My kids and dogs had a blast on site and at the close by river spots. Cassie was quick to respond before and after our trip. Cassie, thank you for the amazing getaway!

Cassies farm is a wonderful location to camp! Cassie is also very quick to respond to any questions we had. We stayed at site #2 named Chandler’s grove. One thing to note is that the two campsites are very close together. You can definitely fit the 6 people per campsite, but if you actually have a large group of 6 I’d say book both sites to have some more privacy. It was extremely hot when we were there (102F) but the walnut trees create a lot of shade and is comfortable when there is a good breeze going. The bathroom is a quick two minute walk from the campsite and is a porta potty that is equip with hand sanitizer, which is nice. The sinks to wash your dishes are very close by, right behind the campsite. We loved our stay at the farm and we’re planning to go back in September when the weather is a bit cooler!

Cassie was a great host and the camp sites are in a beautiful part of the farm underneath some Walnut trees. The trees provide excellent shade in mornings and evenings. The local area has some amazing swimming spots in creeks and rivers, and Cassie provides a booklet with tons of info about these places as well as places to eat and other points of interest. We’d definitely go back again sometime.

We had a lovely weekend stay at this farm and would eagerly return again in the future. The site itself was private, had plenty of shaded areas, and the picnic table, fire pit, outdoor sink, outhouse, and tree swing made everything so easy. There are multiple swimming holes in the area as well as the Sacramento River, which were a great way to break the summer heat. It’s important to note that the two sites are indeed side-by-side, but we were fortunate to have quiet and respectful neighbors during our stay. The optimal situation would indeed be to book both sites for your group; otherwise, the site proximity is in no way a deal breaker. Beyond that Cassie was very communicative and provided everything we needed for a wonderfully relaxing weekend!
