Our classic Farm House is in the heart of our stunning 532 acre Ag Preserve Ranch, 1 mile off Highway 1 . Enjoy the country quiet, sheep studded fields, surrounding stunning forests, diverse wildlife, and ocean views from our charming from house. The house has everything you'll need, and the unique combination of ocean views and ranch living makes this an unforgettable place to stay. Our ranch is Animal Welfare Approved, 100% Grass Fed Approved, and we are members of the Livestock Conservancy and specialize in rare and endangered sheep breeds. We are also one of the only ranches in the USA that has our own wool mill. This allows us to grow wool, process it and make it into bedding, rugs and fabrics with virtually no carbon footprint. We are committed to environmentally friendly and sustainable agricultural and land management practices AND we love to share this magical place with people who need a time out from the city.

Our coastal, country getaway is the perfect place to get grounded, refresh and replenish while exploring the ranch's magic peaceful ambiance. In fact, you may not want to leave the property at all! If you venture out, you'll discover numerous unique activities including the best abalone diving spots on the California coast, point break surfing, kayaking, fishing, protected beach coves, and fantastic redwood hiking. You'll also love the charm of our little Victorian beachtown Point Arena within walking distance (1-2 miles north). Explore our own Casari Ranch Mercantile where we feature our own, Grown-Milled-Made Casari Wool™ products.

Here at the ranch we believe in environmentally friendly living, ranching and farming practices. Each bed is covered in our own organic grown-milled & made Casari wool™ bedding and organic cotton sheets and towels. Each room features some of our family's paintings and treasures to really make this feel like home. The Blue House is ideal for those seeking to get away in a place that feels like their own. Ranch and Wool Mill Tours:

We share our ranch with our sheep, horses, donkeys, llamas, chickens, cats and dogs as well as incredible wild animals and plants. We are totally committed to growing and farming organically, in harmony with nature and we have our own organic wool mill right here on the ranch. We offer tours of the ranch which is a great way to see the property and learn about what we do. On the tour, we take you to special secluded places, teach you about our sheep and give you a tour of our mill. The tours take roughly 1 - 1.5 hours, costs $100 and can be arranged by scheduling a time either before arrival or once you are here.

Ariana (one of the ranch owners), is the founder of Equine Guided Coaching and offers Equine Guided sessions in either learning more about horses or learning from horses how to be a better communicator, and/or leadership and relationship skills (additional fee and scheduled by appointment).

Our two-day, two-night stay at The Blue House was a wonderful experience for my entire family. Ariana and Casey are very welcoming and gracious hosts - they provided my family with a warm greeting and a terrific tour of the ranch. They also struck a very nice balance between giving us the freedom to respectfully explore the property on our own, while at the same time, encouraging my 3 (tween/teenage) girls to observe and participate in herding the sheep and learning about ranch life.

The house itself is comfortable, clean, and cozy. It's well-appointed, with more than an ample supply of books (including a complete set of encyclopedias - a reminder to my girls that information was once available without the internet!), movies, and both a kitchen and dining room with plenty of dishes and cookware for a large group of guests. The house could certainly accommodate a larger group than our family of five (with beds for 9 plus a futon), but we would have found it a bit crowded with more than 7 or 8 people - especially with just one bathroom.

We arrived with the expectation that we would prepare most of our meals at the house, rather than relying on nearby restaurants - and we were glad we did! The small nearby town of Point Arena has limited dining options that were to our taste; for a greater diversity of choices, it's necessary to drive 20 minutes south to the town of Gualala. Given this, we were glad that the kitchen at The Blue House provided all that we needed (except the food, of course).

Overall, we truly enjoyed our trip to The Blue House and would definitely book another stay there.

Casari Ranch was the perfect place to go for a weekend getaway. The drive alone is breathtaking if you are coming along the coast, and the scenery of the entire place is majestic. When we stayed at the Blue House it felt like a home away from home. Ariana and Casey were both very inviting and gave us a tour of the ranch. There were horses, sheep, and their dog was super friendly too. I highly recommend staying at any of the 3 sites that Casari Ranch offers. There are many places you can choose to camp at -- from a forest to a site with the ocean on the horizon. Must go.
