Under the Oaks was a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. We were able to enjoy the stars at night from the perfect vantage point that the hammock we set-up offered, and there was even breakfast in the morning prepared in its entirety by Alice, the host. You are also allowed to use the indoor bathroom facilities and you will get a tour of the farm. The platform can fit perhaps a 4-5 person tent even though the site maximum is 2 people. If you bring a smaller tent there is plenty of room to set up some chairs or other goods around the platform, too.

Alice has a great little spot to camp on next to her bed and breakfast. The platform has ample room for a tent and it's easy to park and unload your gear. The property is beautiful and quiet and the oak trees provide plenty of shade. The house is close by for bathrooms, showers and breakfast. Alice did warn me about poison oak, so it's good to be aware of. And it's pretty dark at night so be sure to bring a flashlight/headlamp. This is a great spot to unwind for a weekend.
Amazing getaway! We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Alice's property and will definitely come back. It was warm, but the platform stayed in shade the whole day, helping us stay cool.

Alice, our host, was so nice. The listing is in a private site on her farm which also doubles as a bed and breakfast. There were no other groups at the time of our visit in the Benn. The bathroom we got to use was such a treat, as well as the breakfast she made us.
Aice is the best! Breakfast was yummy, waking up to the oaks and nature was lovely. Sally the dog is the loveliest!
This was a truly magical experience at Alice’s farm. The fact that she provided a beautiful home cooked breakfast on top of everything was the cherry on the cake. Fantastic property, fantastic host, and fantastic visit all around.
Lovely spot nestled in hilly wooded farmland. Expect to wake up to the sound of birds in the morning, including distant roosters!
Alice is a considerate host and cooks a tasty breakfast. Shared bathroom is clean and well stocked. Friendly dog Sally.
Might not be ideal for campers with mobility issues. Platform for your tent is flat, but perched on a fairly steep incline with leaves underfoot. Bathroom is upstairs.
Verizon has excellent cell service here. Not far from Shenandoah Valley wineries.

It’s a beautiful and very quaint farm and bnb.
